COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Pint at Rattle n Hum. Directly after pints of Founders Porter & Double Trouble. I have to say, this doesn’t really compete with those hard hitters. Pour is a brown with a red/maroon hint... no head is retained. Lots of sweet malts, rich and supple. Body is medium and a bit slick. Does hide the alc well.

Draft. Clear, dark amber, small off-white head, minimal lacing. Almost no aroma. Sweet and malty up front, earthy hops on finish. Well balanced.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2010 Aroma is caramel, earthy, light smoke. The appearance is an amber color, white head. The flavor is malt forward, caramel, expected for the style and notes of earth, smoke. The finish is piney hops. Medium body. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a good representation of the style.

Bottle. Poured a darker amber color with a light white head. Aroma was malts, caramel, and other fruits. I am not a huge fan of this style but this was was very good. Love this beer, and Founders.

Pours a ruby red color with tiny head. Aroma is of crystal malts which impart some sweetness. Taste is somewhat of a malty sweetness with little to no hop bitterness. Alcohol is hidden well making it very drinkable. Not too shabby.

T: Raisin and caramel lead the way. Light chocolate, hints of earthy hops in the finish with a bit of boozy burn. M: On the ligher side of full in body, bold, smooth, with a perfect level of boozy burn in the finish.
