Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer aint fer the wee lads

Tap @ Keg & Brew. Murky brown with minimal dirty cream head. Aromas of molasses, vegetation, caramel malts, cherry, oak elements and peaty smoke. Some earthy hop bitterness, which perfectly balances the sweetness. Great beer.

Poured into a pint ale glass at 45-50 degrees, deep ruby with a 1/2 inch head that falls. Aroma is caramel, slight over ripe pear to plum with a hint of alcohol. Taste strong ripe plum dark fruit with slight bitterness. Finish caramel with hay, smoke, earthy - dry hop tones. One of Founders strengths, Dirty Bastard is a complex ale that provides extreme value for the dollar. One to be enjoyed and revisited when the others fail.

Aroma; caramel, toffee, nut, leaves, mild fruit peel. Look; apricot-beige head, dark hazy caramel brown body. Taste; caramel, roasted malts, hops, nut, yeast - leading to a caramellish yeast-malted finish. Feel; solid body. Overall; tasty sipper. [35.5cl.btl 8.5% BB.28.11.2016 [email protected]]

Pours ruby brown with caramel head which colapses to a lacing. Looks great. Aroma of burnt caramel and iron. At first I was not a massive fan of the aroma, found it a bit metallic, but it grew on me right up until the end. The taste if sweet burnt caramel, smoke, molasses, spice. Reminded me of a slightly spicier Old Tom by Robinsons Brewery which is also 8.5% abv.
