COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Lovely, rich and smooth. Smells like a strong brown ale, with a flirty burnt malt addition. It goes smooth and clean with a harsh aftertaste that gives the dirty bastard its name.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2013 A dark brown beer that has a "dirty" scotch flavor. Smooth, not bitter. Has strong flavor and is very delicious.

I loved this beer, I’m a fan of brown ales and only wished this one was a just a little darker.

Great color and nose. Classic Scotch Ale taste with a little bit of chocolate in the finish. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Dark murky amber brown. Minimal tan head. Bourbon, roasty, chocolate, coffee, resin, dough, leather, smoke, woody notes. medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour. Full body, thick feel, creamy, soft carbonation, long finish. WOW first experience with the good old Dirty Bastard. What a beer! Had a great time rating this one! Not my favorite of artwork, but very interesting.

Bottle into a pint glass. pours a deep ruby, with a small tan head which quickly fades. Good lacing. Nose is malt and peat smoke. Taste is wonderfully complex, with a slightly sweet, smoky, malty flavor which deepens as it warms. The reference standard for Scotch ales. Outstanding.

One of the best beers in one of the best categories of beer: Scottish style ale. Medium-full body with a long finish. Very malty and roasty. Finishes clean. Overall a good beer drinking experience.

Lekkere schotch ! Zoet bittere smaak. Donkerrode kleur met een mooie volle schuimkraag. Gedronken op het vliegveld van Kopenhagen.

This is the closest thing to Mac Andrews that I've been able to find, which is my favorite, but I haven't seen it here in the U.S. for decades. Unlike others, this has a nice hop balance. Others are nothing but malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
