UPDATED: JAN 31, 2010 I had this from draft. This is a great strong IPA. It is highly hopped, but overall it is good. The hops are very foral. The taste is of citrus and grapefruits with carmel malt flavors. Excellent deep gold color to the beer with full head that lasts a long time. foundersfan (30) - Ohio, USA - NOV 1, 2009

Rating #250. Sort of an anniversary... Off course I wanted a DIPA to celebrate.
Lovely bitter aroma with pine and citrus.
Very fruity taste with pineapples, and lots of sweetness and fruit.
And then the bitterness and the loooong aftertaste. Some malt just presents itself to balance the hops.
Not su much a DIPA as a very strong, very bitter IPA.
Any way, lovely beer, Happy anniversary:-) charlotte (5382) - rødovre, DENMARK - OCT 27, 2009

bottle, pours hazy gold, medium off white head. Aroma is hops and dried apricot. Some grapfruit notes with nice nutty bircuity malt and a mildly sweet with tons of hop bitterness. Very enjoyable. madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2009
Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Aroma is piney, sugary, caramelly and light citric. Flavour as well full of pines, sugar, herbs, caramel and flowers. Medium to full bodied. Citric heavy bitterness in the end. Very nice. austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - OCT 23, 2009
12oz Bottle from Ølbutik. Hazy golden to light amber, tiny coarse pale head. Aroma has marzipan, mellow flowery and grapefruity hops, sweet sugary malts, faint nuttiness. Flavor is resin, little gooseberry, grapefruit liqueur, warming alcohol, papery finish with red grapefruit bitterness. Pretty thick sugary palate. Yet another US hop bomb showing clear travel fatique. Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2009
Hazy yellow of color with a nice white head. An aroma of pines, sweers, hops and spice. A flavor of pines, grapefruits, hops, grass, sweets and a dry finish. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - OCT 22, 2009
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2011 OH MY! This is a wonderful beer. Suits all my desires for a brew. Really starting to think Founders may be my favorite brewer. Shame is, this stuff is so hard to find......sadness.
