On draft at Founders. As Founders Freestyle Ale. The pour is a clear and light golden yellow with hardly any head and a couple bubbles of lace as it recedes. The aroma is surprisingly decent. There is a lot of leafy hop, a touch of citrus, a strong maltiness toward the back, and it falls into a heavy bitterness on the finish. This is clean, light, and bitter as fuck. The flavor mimics this. A light fruitiness leads right into a grassy hop, leafy bitterness, and a touch of pine that really is strange. The mouth feel is light and watery with a very light carbonation and a lingeringly sweet and then bitter with a strong mess of hops throughout. It’s a touch messy, but I like the premise. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 26, 2012
On tap at Founders Brewpub. Lightly hazed golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is hoppy with pine, floral hops, pale malt and laundry soap. Taste of grapefruit, floral and herbal hops, medium malt with mild bitterness. Not bad. Tmoney99 (14863) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 10, 2012
Draft. Poured a clear pale color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced hop and malt aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This exceeded my expectations and I would recommend this to a freind.
