Bottle at home while in Florida. Pours clear gold with a white head. Grassy, light caramel, biscuit aroma with a little piss. Medium body, medium carbonation. Light caramel, light tea, lemon, orange, grass, pine, hint of honey, light bread... Pretty good. phranq (219) - - OCT 28, 2016
Poured from a 12 oz bottle 10/3/2016. Clear gold lacing head. Dank citrus taste. Nice through finish. SnootDog (17) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 26, 2016
Really good batch for this year. Bottled on 10/3/2016; enjoyed from an IPA glass on 10/22/2106. Pours hazy, dark, gold with a two finger head. Aroma: pine with hints of citrus. Subtle hop on the palate, with a refreshing center & a pleasantly bitter finish. Big fan of the wet hopped when done right.

Gotta mention the price point, which is higher than any single IPA I’ve ever seen, higher than their iipa four packs and basically the same price as their barrel aged wee heavy.
That aside, I’ve had lots of 4.1-4.2 hoppy beers from founders. Well into excellent status, but no style leaders except maybe All Day. This is probably my favorite hoppy beer they make. Golden pour with thick head that sticks to the glass. Aroma is citrusy, and a little dank, piney malty. Sticky body borders on a double. Flavor is very complex...citrus, light pine and melon, ample bitterness but sweetness to counteract, and a roasted malt character that provides a nice balance.
A contemplative IPA that o thorp girly enjoyed. Bottled 10/3, get it while its fresh. Voodoo (667) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2016
Pours a clear deep golden color with a pure white head which laces well but gone in a hurry.....aroma of citrus, melon, sweetness......taste is beginning of tart, citrus, orange, melon, touch of dankness near the end, bitterness overwhelmed by flavors......after a few moments the residual chloride aste of a swimming pool liner, which is less than pleasant and not the first for this type of hop.

Tap at Clubhouse BFD. Pours honey, filtered clear. Creamy white head. Aroma is lots of citrus, pine, orange, lemon, mango, tropical juicy fruit. Wow. Very impressed. Flavor is mosaic hops, juicy, tropical, slightly dank, that sort of soapiness that seems to come with it, orange, grapefruit. Nice. One of the best IPAs I’ve had from Founders. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 6, 2016
Pours a light golden amber color with a small disappearing head. Aromas of citrus hops, sweet malts, and a hint of fruit. Flavors of grapefruit, orange, with subtle hints of caramel. dwyerpg (6187) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - APR 3, 2016
An excellent way to finish a new beer filled week. A medium hop aroma, but a stronger body. Very fresh and effervescent, this is some top notch stuff. migwell (365) - Massachusetts, USA - FEB 1, 2016
Poured into a tall tulip, this pale orange filtered brew produced a half-inch, pretty persistent head with lots of tiny bubbles shooting up. Aroma of (surprise) hops and malt. I like the wet hopped style, and this is a really good example, with a bit of a brief bitter finish. Got some orange, a bit of caramel and it is a bit resinous. I think wet-hopped could be a style of its own, since this, and others (Tree House Julius, for example) are pretty different from standard IPA’s. Anywho, this is a good brew, and per the sub-style, can only be a seasonal, following the hop harvest. Salud! TOberon33 (2) - Indiana, USA - JAN 29, 2016 does not count
My 250th beer drank! This doesn't mean anything for anyone else, but this is for my own reference.
However, it was a great beer. A bold IPA that has a kick of flavor in ever drink. Smooth bodied and smells fresh. Some of Grand Rapid's finest.
