Bottle pours orange color with thick white head that laces the glass as you drink it. Aroma is apricot, orange, and citrus melody. Opulent mouthfeel. Flavor is pleasing citrus, orange and apricot with a touch of lemon. Finishes semi-dry. This is a smooth IPA and really good beer.

Pours bright golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Notes of dank hop resin, sour citrus, mango, and sweet pine. Full bodied with thick resins and lively carbonation. A nice and fresh IPA.

Maudite Glass: Nice golden/orange color. Pillowy, lasting, head. Big hop aroma(pine, citric),with dry bready malt slightly showing.Creamy, with nice texture. Mouth load of pine, spicy, hops and underlying malt. Finish is more pine and spicy, hops with bread. Leaves a very satisfying green, fresh hop linger. Shame the glass empties. Put together well and tasty IMO.

An orange color beer with a small fast dissipating head. The aroma is wonderful with lots of fruit, citrus, & pine, & reminds me somewhat of Pliny. The taste is passion fruit, nice fruity piney hops. I love smelling beers like these & want one in my fridge all the time & its a shame we cant get Founders here. One of the best IPAs Ive tried.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Clear gold color with a small, foamy white head. Good head retention and spotty lacing left behind. Aroma: Big piney, earthy, dry hop nose! Flavor: Mimics the nose mostly with some citrus notes and a little malt sweetness thrown in. Palate: Medium, prickly carbonation with a medium-rich mouthfeel and a medium, bitter finish. Overall: This one rinses suprisingly clean for an IPA. Good nose, good flavor. Definitely worth a go in a category where there is some stiff competition.

Pours light gold, decent head. Something smells like plastic, vinyl @ first. Dont ask. More in depth whiff releases some very perfumey, spicy, bold citrus. Tropical fruit. Mouth is fruity all around. Some peppery bitter. Great feel, balance, and hops. Earthy pine linger. Sweet hops. Satisfying. No alcohol present. Definitely a repeat.

A beautiful light gold color on the pour. Just under half an inch of head that wants to stick around for awhile. Medium bodied with decent lacing on the glass. I smell hops and more hops with a citrus smell lingering there as well. Great mouth feel on this one too. Strong hops upfront and through the finish on this one. Highly recommend this one especially if you love very hoppy beer.

Yellow-orange pour with a white head. Fruity hop aroma. It seems to draw you deep into sensory overload. Taste is a great balance between the malt and the hops. Nice lacing on the glass. Each time you raise the glass, the hop aroma hits you just as fresh as the first time you smelled it. The aroma of hops even stayed after the last sip. Thank you Founders.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2010 Pours a golden hue with a white head. Really nice aroma of pine and citrus, very inviting. The hops are actually a little subdued on first taste. More prevalent are some caramel and biscuity malts. I do really like the way this beer is put together. Everything just seems to work well and the mouthfeel couldnt be much better. Another winner from Founders, which has quickly become one of my favorite brewers since entering the Twin Cities.
