Hazy, orange-amber color with lacing caked on the glass. Big citrus and pine nose. Medium-bodied, smooth, but also nicely carbonated, long-lasting juicy hop finish. Hops through and through with a nice bitter punch. Really nice - such a pleasure. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - OCT 30, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Golden orange pour with a small white head. Aroma of earth hops, a bit of onion, grass, and some dankness. A bit of mango and citrus peak out. Flavor is mildly sweet but mostly bitter. Lots of tropical fruits, the aformentioned mango. A bit of grapefruit rind bitterness in the finish. Excellent. Absolutely delicious. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Very easy to drink. Enjoyed this quite a bit. BigBang (299) - Indiana, USA - OCT 29, 2010
On tap at Founders. Went there looking for Harvest Ale and found this one to be even better! Super skunky - not sure how else to describe. ABV 7.1% per the chalkboard. Hop head’s dream. I also overheard one of the servers saying that is was also brewed with jalapenos, which I could imagine - there is a bit of spiciness there as well. They should definitely bottle this stuff... badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 25, 2010
it is stuff like this that makes founders the best brewery in the states (with perhaps the finest brewer as well)...had this after the harvest party. lighter amber pour with small white head. as was stated, huge marijuana comes across in the aroma and flavor. mostly of cannibus and pine..not a whole lot of malt involved, excpet a touch in the finish. this was delicious, and unique. should be a mainstay. huge hops, bitter and dry finish..love their ability to push a style esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 24, 2010
Had this the day after Harvest Fest on tap at Founders brewpub. Dark amber with a thin off-white head that leaves some lacing. The first thing I notice on the aroma is weed. Ah, I get the name now. It’s heavily hopped with pine, citrus and west coasty resinous hops along with some sweeter malt. Taste mostly in line with aroma – hoppy yet balanced, bitter – but not too bitter. Decent effort.
