Murky appearance, strong citrusy hop aroma. Looks thick, pours thick, but no head. Dry bitter mouth feel, hoppy, and warm citrus flavors enter the fray as you drink. Crisp finish. Would be good with spicy lightweight food like Thai. From a bottle. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - FEB 21, 2005
On tap at Founders. Appearance of apricot puree: dull, murky, and yellow-orange, with a thin off-white head. Wheaty aroma with grapefruity hops and a touch of spices. Flavor starts with big grapefruity hops, settling to tangy, grainy, fruity wheat malt, finishing bitter with a touch of pine. Creamy yet a bit tingly on the tongue. This was a pretty good beer. Tap at Founders Ale. Cloudy golden color with medium white head. Sweet aroma of wheat and citrus. Flavor was refreshing and wheat and bitter of hop finish. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 9, 2005
a cloudy yellow appearnce with no head....aroma is of hops (definite grapefruit and lemon); flavor is similar, with hops and wheat (a cross between founders harvest and their pale ale)....not outstanding, but another good founders beer AustinMilbarge (681) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 5, 2005
Hazy, light honey golden. Medium amount of carbonation. Aroma marginally yeasty. Wheat apparent in the taste, but also a fair amount of hopiness. Probably more to do with my eating habits and activity today, but the 5.8% seemed an underestimation of the ABV.
