Pretty much perfection. Chocolate, coffee and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Overwhelming chocolate, coffee and nuttiness when drinking. Holy crap, I think I’m in heaven.

A truly well balanced imperial stout - excellent color, aroma, a taste without an overbearing abv. Excellant.

Pours jet black with a nice creamy head. Mouthfeel has a great coffee taste and a thick creamy palate. Yet another fantastic Founders brew.

Served in a half pint snifter from the tab. Totally black with a dark brown small head. Smelled like a cup of espresso. Tasted like it too with a hint of chocolate. Absolutely loved it to wrap up a nice winter lunch.

Köpt på systembolaget Dragarbrunn. Mycket choklad med en lite rökig ton. Lätt rostad efterbeska. Mkt bra imp. stout.

Bottle from 12/12 so almost a year old. Pours pitch black w/ a very dark brown head. Super thick and creamy. Smell is amazing and the taste follows suit. Definitely get some dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel and roasty notes. Just enough bitterness for the sweetness that is present. Being the beer is almost a year old, there is some sediment showing much like a Belgian quad. If that stuff bothers you then just pour 2/3 into glass and drink rest from bottle. I have no problem with it and see no need to take points away for floaties. Founders does absolute world class stouts.

From a bottle. Pours pure black, good sign for a stout. Nice hazy brown head on a good pour. Toasted smoky flavor with a nice hoppy finish. Sweet bitter thick and beautiful. No name no gimmicks great one Founders!

For me, all I get from the nose is Chocolate, a bit of Coffee and a bit of booze.

It’s a great looking beer, pours thick and forms a fairly thick and dark head, a hint of red in it, but mostly brown. The beer itself is black as sin, I turned on the light on my phone and held if on the other side of the beer and couldn’t see it... at all.

Taste is delicious, at least to me. Fairly sweet and a little bit bitter.

Body is extremely thick and full, almost chewy ^_^. Nice smooth carbonation. As for the finish, it definitely lingers on your tongue.

I really wish this was available here in Texas, I think I would drink it all the time. I’ve gotten to try KBS once, but my palette was already long blown by that point. Really need to get a CBS. Either way. I’m glad I have two more ^_^.

This dangerous beer possesses an impenetrable, eternal, infinite, Stygian blackness. Blacker than black itself. A blackness so utterly complete that the very light from the room is drawn into it, darkening all around. A blackness that thankfully, mercifully, hides what dwells within from eyes that would be struck blind with the seeing. A wonderful aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malts, and a smooth and creamy feel on the tongue imparting more of the same with a touch perhaps of caramel. Bewitching.
