A fine companion to end a meal or relax in front of the hearth with, this robust ale will cellar well for years. Brewed with ten varieties of malted barley this stout is extremely smooth, complex and rich in body. We recommend serving at cellar temperature. Sit back and enjoy its richness and complexity, youre about to drink the ultimate winter warmer.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2013 Aroma: Bold chocolate and coffee notes with light notes of vanilla and alcohol. Almost smells like a chocolate cake. Appearance: Pours black as night with virtually no head. Taste: This beer is huge amount of coffee and dark chocolate. They hit you the second this beer touches your lips. There is a very slight alcohol burn. The beer finishes up with a very small hint of hop bitterness. Palate: This is not a light beer. It’s thick and coats your mouth Overall: This is how a stout should be in my opinion. The coffee and chocolate really take center stage. It is a slow sipper. I would put this one somewhere between Founders Breakfast Stout and KBS. This is a better stout then breakfast stout, but it isn’t nearly as complex as KBS. With that said, this is still a great beer and I would recommend it to anyone.

Really nice stout. Pours black almost like a Mackeson XXX Stout. Roasted malts are on the verge of this outstanding beer. Also hints of bitter chocolate and dough. I wanted to rate this higher but in good conscious I couldnt.

Draft 8 oz pour at Stogies and Hops, Mill Creek. Listed as Russian Imperial Stout. Cola like brown pour with with a tan fizz head. Looks thinner than it drinks. Chocolate and bourbon heavy aroma. Syrupy, bourbon, cool chocolate. Toasty remainder. Big toasted linger. Overall a good imperial, but not quite great. Bold. Tasty.

355ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Plain chocolate, leather and vinous fruits in the aroma. Molasses, treacle, coffee and plain chocolate can all be detected in the rich taste. Quite boozy.

Pours black with medium brown head. Aroma is raisins, coffee, strong roast, vanilla, complex, spices, sweetness, chocolate, cacao, dry grass, wooden, carbon. Taste is smooth, crispy, toasted bread, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, cream, butter, spices... everything. Cant describe any more. It is well balanced and you can find there everything that you want to find from Imp. Stout. I dont have enough words type beer!

Bottle. Sensroic. Deep brown with big, thick, aggressive and light brown head. Perfect head retention and lacing. Aroma is moderate to high malty - mainly roasted, caramel, milk chocolate, toffee, fudge, in the background nice dark fruits aroma, slightly breadish and chalky. Taste is more aggressive - heavy sweet and moderately to heavy bitter, very long duration, increasing thru the degustation. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation, finish is bitter, malty chocolaty. Summary: Wow. This is like chocolate syrup with some raisins and cherries added, finish is surprisingly bitter, long-lasting. ABV is noticeable. Very good for aging or BA.

At home. Bottle kind courtesy of Maakun. Big roasted choco malts, butterscotch, blueberries, some cashew nuts, barley, rubber tire. Big sweet and moderate roast bitter. Full body, oily thick and dense in aroma. Low carbonation. Classy stuff. Fruity roasty choc finish.
