Bottle from John (JPDIPSO) Thanks! For #900 I wanted to drink something that I thought would be special, and from my favorite style. This was it. Pours very dark black. Smell has a little notes of bourbon, coffee, roasted malts, and a little bit of alcohol. Taste is rich, and not very much like bourbon (which is good since Im not a fan really). This was like drinking a thick, slightly chilled glass of coffee with some Beam in it. Simply an amazing beer, the best oak aged beer Ive had before. This reminds me of Oak Aged Yeti, just more smooth. I would love to have this for breakfast :)
2016 bottle. Appearance: Pitch/oily black, tiny brown head, viscous pour. Aroma: Rich roast coffee beans, rich chocolate, a little smoke, bourbon, excellent aroma. Flavour: Thick sticky mouthfeel, wonderful bitter chocolate, smokey, bourbon, rich chocolate, woody too with a delightful long bitter finish. Excellent. herrklemann (620) - Graz, AUSTRIA - MAR 17, 2018
Bottle, thanks SinH4. Low to medium brown head on a black body with a red hue. Cocoa, nips, coffee roast, vanilla, bourbon. Not too sweet, tart, warming, umami, intense. Medium body with good carbonation. Intense and still balanced. Hot stuff. simontomlinson (756) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2018
Thick, creamy light brown head stayed well on a still black body - looks tremendous!
Big boozy aroma with malt, alcohol, dark spirits & stewed fruit.
Medium to full bodied, slides over the tongue like oil with a soft silky feel & minimal carbonation..
Powerful tastes of bitter coffee, rum, wood, vanilla, malt & smoky hints with a long bitter berry finish basjansen14 (505) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - MAR 15, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2018 2016 vintage. KBS pours pitch black and has a nice cream/tan coloured head. Aroma: sweet, coconut, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate and some roasted malts. Taste: sweet, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, some bourbon and some bitterness. Some alcohol warming in your throat, but the aftertaste isn't that alcoholic. You do get some bourbon alcohol, which is really nice. zubblwump (132) - Michigan, USA - MAR 14, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 14, 2018 Finally got my hands on this 2018 release after years of searching. Dark, dark pour as expected, with thick foamy mocha head. Strong bold aroma of coffee and chocolate. The bourbon is there just below. Silky smooth mouth feel. Taste is where the bourbon takes center stage, though. Not overly strong, but just enough. The expectations were so high that I was afraid it wouldn't be able to live up. Not to worry, this is very good stuff...even better than New Holland's Dragon Milk. Superb!

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2018 Flaska (2017).
Juks (1393) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 11, 2018
330ml bottle. Pours black, almost no head. Aroma is liquoricey, ashy, hoppy. Taste is coffee, ashy, roasty, hints of vanilla, toffee. Full bodied, below average carbo. Well covered alcohol. What an amazing brew, so complex and nice. silverjohn (25) - Pelham, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 11, 2018
This guy is like your buddy you haven't seen in a few years, who shows up and you have lots of fun. It's hard to find this beer, but it's always worth finding. Everyone and their uncle wants it, and it's for a good reason. Manslow (2047) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAR 10, 2018
Piwo spożyte jakiś czas temu i przez roztargnienie nie opisane. Dzięki Budyń za przywiezienie piwa z Pułapki do Stolycy. Piwo o aromacie kawy i czekolady w smaku to samo , słodkie niestety w smaku dochodzi mocna goryczka, tyle pamiętam, świetne piwo.
