A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

Aroma is very rich with lots of coffee, some chocolate and hints of vanilla. Flavour is also rather rich with coffee, semi‐dark chocolate, some vanilla, oaky notes and hints of licorice. Very tasty stuff for a coffee lover like me. A masterpiece.

Bottle from a trade – thanks Jason!
Aroma has strong coffee notes, some licorice and bourbon. Smooth palate. Flavour starts with coffee and goes through strong whisky notes, passes the licorice valley with touch of salt and ends up with woody aftertaste with bourbon. And warms my throat afterwards. Still delicious! At the end of the glass the coffee steps a bit aside and bourbon tones take over.

Kawa, wanilia, drewno, czekolada, orzechy, rozgrzewający alkohol. Solidna treściwość i trochę przyjemnej słodyczy. Średnie wysycenie, spora palona goryczka. Bardzo intensywne, wyraziste, pyszne.

Tap at Browariat. Aroma: Heavy roast and bitter chocolate, vanilla, syrupy, bourbon, very intensive. Appearance: Black body with a great deep creamy head. Taste: On one side sweet and full in body, on the other side bitter, roasted and aggressive, nice. Palate: Semi-dry finish, high body, low carbonation.

Piana średnio wysoka, w jasnym odcieniu beżu, dość gęsto zdobi szkło. W aromacie przede wszystkim beczka, czyli marcepan, orzechy, wanilia, trochę w syrop klonowy, czekolada jest zepchnięta nieco w tło. Przyjemny aromat.

This was amazing. Mouthcoating complexity with chocolate, burnt notes, whiskey notes, and a subtle sweetness. It is so drinkable, and something I could have chugged easily. I tasted it alongside CBS, which I didn't enjoy as much. My only sadness was the price - paid $6 for a 5 oz pour!!!

Musta, pieni isokuplainen vaahto. Vahva suklainen, kahvinen tuoksu. Maussa tummaa suklaata, makeutta ja kirpeyttä - myös alkoholista.

Aroma heavy dose of chocolate milkshake, bourbon and coffee. Late alcohol notes. Vanilla. Big and bold 8.0/10

Appearance : 3/5

Top: dark with copper cold hue, long lived top, almost fizzy.

Base: dark brown

Palate : full bodied, somewhat creamy, average carbonation, medium plus finish.

Taste: I am one of last big raters to try this. It kept old school craft vibe. Not overly complicated, even simple I would say. Heavy big stout that was very well made aged in barrel. All fairly balanced.
Other notes I like it a lot but don't love it.

-pours the darkest of brown with no light coming through and a small to medium, foamy, khaki head
-vanilla,coconut,brown sugar,syrupy,light smoke,oats,raisins,cognac
-sweet,nougat,milk chocolate,cappuccino ,toast,licorice,ea rthy,car
-medium,soft carbonation
-medium to full body
-noticeable alcohol
A fantastic, complex BA Imperial Stout.
It's a bit too sweet for me, which keeps it from a perfect score.
