COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

Absolutely one of my favorites. Look forward to it each year. Prefer it fresh but still excellent with a year or two of age on it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2017 One of the harder to find beers out there. Always a good score when you do find some.

One of my favorite beers. Love the thick flavor. Heavy, but perfectly delicious every time. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle @ Alex’s. CANBIF 2017, thanks byronic!
Pours an opaque dark brown. Nose is coconut, vanilla, with a nice pleasant coffee note. Flavour is a great mix however light with vanilla, espresso, cocoa, and some bourbon. It’s delicious.

Aus der Flasche im 2017-08 getrunken. Neben den typischen IS Aromen kommen hier dunkle Beeren und eine leichte Haselnußnote dazu. Lecker!

Aroma is dark chocolate, molasses, soy sauce and coffee. Overall quite sweet with a touch of booze. Pours black with almost no head, a few bubbles remain at the surface. Taste is chocolate chips, little bit of oak and bourbon. Again quite sweet, but packed full of flavour. Little carbonation, full mouth feel, perfect for the style. Great beer, massive flavour, nearly lives up to the hype.

Pours a pitch black with a brown creamy head. Medium thick body with lost of lacing. Aroma of dark roasted malts, dark chocolate and some whiskey notes. Taste has a full mouth feel of bitter dark chocolate, coffee, and some Bourbon. Smooth finish with a decent lingering aftertaste. I don’t think it is as good as all the hype. Could have been less bitter and boozy. Still pretty enjoyable but not my favorite.

Aroma: coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood, cocoa; really intense. Taste: lot of coffee, dark chocolate, sweetness, wooden notes, vanilla, toffee, brownie. Medium head, nice lacing and medium carbonation.

[EuroSanta from SinH4]. A modern classic. Pours pitch black with brown head, which isnt of best quality - reduces to a bubbly ring. Aroma is amazing. Licorice, molasses, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, truffles. Taste: dense liquid full of dark chocolate, alcoholic/roasted bitterness, bourbon, oak and leather. Aftertaste is long and surprisingly dry (!). Alcohol burns a little on the mouth, but still the beer is great. Thanks!
