COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mosaic Promise showcases two unique ingredients: Mosaic hops and Golden Promise malt. The versatility of the hop’s pleasing aroma and flavor characteristics and the traditional barley’s depth of flavor comprise this clean, rich, golden beer. We can brew complex beers with the best of them, but we recognize that there is also beauty in simplicity.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2015 Excellent fruit aroma in clear straw colored brew. Medium body and modest head. Lower ABV than many IPAs. Rerate: Outstanding balance of malt and hop. I want it year around!

Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - SEP 12, 2014
Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate tropical fruits, mango, light grapefruit, dank notes, and a touch of grass. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a two finger white head that leaves a good amount of soapy lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of tropical fruits. The finish has moderate grapefruit, pine, a touch of lemon peel, and grass. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s pretty tasty and drinks a lot like a Session IPA.

Aroma is funky, weed, then sweet mosaic hops. Appearance is yellow, white head. Taste is light, balanced sweet hops, pine and light citrus. Mouthfeel is pretty carbonated, but decent. Overall, not their best offering.

Very clean and light pour, straw blonde with no haze. One finger of white head. Lots of citrus and fruit in the aroma. Some dank notes and a hint of malt balance. Very light bodied. Dry with a light bitterness. Mostly citrus rind in the flavor.

On tap at Founders pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of dank resinous hops, citrus, grapefruit, mango. Taste similar to aroma with a mild well balanced bitterness. Very drinkable, delicious!!

drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2014
Draft at founders. Now 5.5% and seems more like an APA. I’m not sure if this is a SMaSH beer but it could be. Pours clear straw gold with white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, catty, and guava with very subtle onion/garlic. Flavors continue nice and piney/woody, grapefruit and guava, and less oniony. Malt is nice, toasty slightly breaded. Really dry and crisp. Seems 100% golden promise and mosaic. Hopping is great, not over the top but there in every way you want. This is exactly what I want my hoppy pales to be.

bigtaster (1004) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2014
Pale yellow color large off white head. Nose is grapefruit pineapple and biscuit. Light cool body, very fruity hop flavors, grapefruit, mango. Slightly dry finish, guessing this is all day with some high end hops. Very enjoyable sessionable beer.
