Orange colored and opaque. Solid nitro head, great lacing. Malt, mango, papaya, grapefruit and citrus hops in the nose, dulled a little by the solid head. The palate is super smooth, creamy with a lasting but not overly aggressive finish. The taste is perfectly balanced between the sweetness of the malt and fruit and the bitter bite of the citrus hops. A wonderfully refreshing beer. Perfect for spring time. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 30, 2009
mango, papaya, grapefruit....or mark paul gossler...nice variation of their already stellar ipa...big citrus, tropical fruit punch to the resinous, piney ipa characteristics...good stuff 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 13, 2009
On nitro at Founders 8.20.09. Pours a cloudy murky orange with a super thick creamy frothy nitro head. Lots of citrus in the aroma, some pine and resin as well. Flavor is creamy citrus and grapes, piney resin, light vanilla, long grapey aftertaste. Creamy medium/full bodied with sparse but a bit sharp carbonation bubbles, smooth but a bit sugary. I had this on tap at founders. Unfortunately they wouldn’t let us take a growlers home. This is a very delicious IPA, maybe one of the better ones i have had. Pours a dark yellow/orangish color. Taste is citrus with hops. Mango Papaya Grapefruit indeed. xnoxhatex (1305) - Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA - AUG 31, 2009
On nitro at the brewery. Murky orange with nitro head. Aroma is tropical fruit, grapefruit, citrus, sweeter caramel. Fruit and caramel flavor, juicy, some alc, tropical fruit. Medium body with nitro head. A lighter in abv version of dreadnaught.

On nitro @ Founders...my wife and I just happened to be there the day they put this on. Very nice looking brew coming off of the nitro, dark yellow/gold with a large white head. The nose is absolutely ridiculous on this...massive amounts of fresh mango and grapefruit with noticeable Centennial hops abound. Typical nitro mouth feel that works extremely well with this brew. Flavor is all citrus and hops...what a brew. Per Mark @ Founders, this is a one-off experimental brew. Get it while you can. punkrkr27 (903) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - AUG 16, 2009
Nitro tap at Founders. Pours a hazy amber with a big, dense nitro head. I’m usually not a fan of nitro beers. Most of the time they seem to have very dulled down flavors and aromas but this beer seems to be the exception. Loads of fresh tropical fruit and citrus aroma coupled with a nice honey-caramel, sweet malt background. The flavor pretty much follows the aroma. Lots more fresh, juicy tropical fruit, big cascade citrus and sweet malt. A little one dimensional but damned delicious. The nitro also made a a velvety creamy body.
