750 ml bottle poured a hazy reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of rye, oak, grapefruit, light pine and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of rye, oak, earthiness, light pine and light citrus with a smooth dry moderatly bitter lingering rye finish. mar (5415) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 19, 2014

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Kevin. Tinny looking, hazed copper color with a light khaki head that fades quickly to a collar. Aroma is peppery, full of pine needles & ashy hops backed with a big dose of caramel malt, grapefruit, orange peel, & citric hops. Herbal towards the end, with some spiciness from the rye, along with a woody dryness. Pepper coated pine needle flavor. Spicy, toasted rye bread with a touch of orange & citrus rind. Grows more peppery with lots of spicy oak showing up towards the finish. Herbal, a little ashy. Medium-light bodied; decent, but I’m not the biggest fan of oak aged IPAs. The spiciness of this one would make it hard to consume in larger quantity. vyvvy (6468) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - AUG 31, 2014
Pours golden / orange with some haze and an off-white head. The aroma has toffee, oak, alcohol and rye spice - not a lot of IPA notes going on here. It has a medium / full body with semi-sharp flowing carbonation. The flavor starts with caramel, lots of oak, earthiness and rye spice. The finish has lots of wood and spice. This is interesting & enjoyable it not looked at as an IPA. Good oak aged ale, just not the IPA hop notes.

This one poured a light orange color with a white head. Aroma was of lots of oak and vanilla, fruity and green hops and caramel. Flavor was lightly spicey and herbal, citrus fruit and good oak character. Decent. emacgee (4675) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Clean and clear golden amber hues and one finger off white head. Centennial-ish notes in the aroma, candy like hop sweetness. Some citrus rind and toasted oak leaning towards buttery. Great aroma. Oak upfront, almost butttery but adds a nice supporting character to the flavor. Bright hop quality with a subtle bubblegum and candy note. Very nice. Medium light bodied and very balanced bitterness that is quick to recede. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - JUL 14, 2014
Bottle thanks to northernbrews for sharing. Clear amber-red pour with a small foamy head. Aroma is an odd combo of caramel, oak, rye and dank citrus hops. Tastes like a vanilla, oak-y IPA. I actually like it but could see why most wouldn’t. Hops are pretty dank which I like. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Subtle rye spice as well. Bottle: The aroma consists of oak, rye, citrus, and caramel. It pours a transparent amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit, citrus, and rye. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.
Bottle shared tonight by Michael, thanks for the opportunity!
Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a smallish off white head that dissipates slowly. Aromas of earthy, spice, flowers, pine and resin with just a hint of bread deep underneath. The flavor follows the aroma quite well but adds a bit of caramel to the maltiness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Nice beer, I enjoyed it and I’m glad I got to try it.
