Lightly roast coffee, milk and grain. Good flavors but a bit sour in the finish. Nice texture from the nitro.

On draft at Taste Bar & Bistro in Randolph. Pours a black-brown complexion with tan head. The taste is toasty with mild malt. Surprisingly filling and without smooth mouthfeel. Not a standout out from this brewer. The selection is a disappointment in the middle of the pack.

Pours a clear dark brown, almost black, body under a small creamy nitro brown head. The nose is dry and roasty with some sweet oats and light coffee. The flavor is lightly sweet, a little thin, with some roast and a little coffee. Mouthfeel is rather thin with the usual nitro feel and a lingering sweetness. Not really all that into this one, surprised to have a Founders beer I dont really like.

Nitro tap at Capones. Pours black/brown with tall tan head. Aroma is chocolate, earthy. Taste is sweet, dark and roasty malt with chocolate notes. More of an irish stout than a sweet stout. Oatmeal adds a lot of body here. Quite filling.

Nitro tap. Dark black with tan head. Amazing dissipating creamy stout body. Coffee and roast malt aroma, hint of chocolate. Same taste. Medium body. I think the nitro helped this one. Good nonetheless.

On tap at Old Chicago. Faint coffee in the smell and the back of the taste. Has a decent creamy feel and still very drinkable. Big oat flavors dominating the rest. Not that much flavor going on overall.

Nitro tap at Stone Tap. Super dark pour with a monster nitro head. Smooth as velvet. Soft oat, coffee, dark malt. Slightly dry. Excellent.

Nitro draft poured into a standard pint glass at Matchbox Merrifield. Pours black with two fingers of light tan head. Aromas of caramel, coffee, chocolate, oats. Tasting notes of dark chocolate, coffee, oats, roast. Full body with a great smooth and creamy mouthfeel, semi-dry finish.
