Originally rated on 12/13/14. On tap at the Wayside Pub in Lake Jackson, Tx. Pours a black body, after the nitro settle of course, with a half inch thin beige head that left some thick curtains of lace. Nice aromas of roasted malts, plenty of coffee and hints of chocolates and oats. Flavor is about the same with a good dryness to it. Overall its very smooth an easy to drink, yet flavorful. Glad to have tried it and would recommend it

A great sessionable stout. Nitrogen on tap ... looks like a classic guineas. Coffee brown with a foamy tan head. Looks so good! Light aroma - some toasted malts. Nice flavor profile. A step up from guineas ... nice chocolatey notes with some roasted grains and even a little nuttiness and coffee. Smooth and very drinkable.

Aromas of roasted coffee and a touch of molasses. Hops just add some generic bitterness. Some smoke, burnt, tar, charcoal flavors. Has a large off-white to light brown head. Beer is a dark, very close to black color. Somewhat on the sweet side; moderate bitterness. Pretty full bodied; distinctly creamy texture from the nitrogen; average carbonation; fairly long finish with roasted flavors. Overall a fairly good stout. I like the variety of roasted malt aromas with the coffee, molasses and hints of smoke, tar and charcoal.
