On tap at Taco Mac. Almost black with ruby tint at the edges. Big thick creamy tan head that persists. Lots of nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malt and a hint of chocolate. Nice malty flavor, not overly sweet; some bitterness and dryness kicks in as well. Body is creamy, but also slghtly on the light side. This beer goes down smooth. Overall, a very enjoyable stout.
On tap. Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and oats with a mild, bitter coffee finish. Light to medium body with a creamy, smooth texture and soft carbonation. Tasty. Minus the nitro, this Oatmeal Stout drinks like a classic English Oatmeal Stout complete with rich flavors, a silky feel, and a modest ABV. Notes of chocolate, coffee, and cream. It’s a thing of beauty to watch it poured from the tap. Seeing the foam gradually give way to blackness is a damn hypnotic experience. This is a dark brew that won’t totally weigh you down on a hot day. psydtamales (43) - Anaheim, California, USA - JUN 5, 2017
Smooth, sweet, creamy, roasty, & kinda savory on the finish? Light notes of chocolate, easy to drink, solid. DSG (14838) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 30, 2017
[5/14/17] Draught at Taphouse in Copenhagen. Dark brown to black, creamy beige head. Roast, coffee, some smokiness, slightly sweetish, sourish note, bitter finish. Medium-bodied. LaserDave (13) - - MAY 21, 2017
A little bite. A Founders take on a classic style, brewed with a generous amount of flaked oats, chocolate malt, roasted barley and a healthy helping of Nugget hops, Founders Oatmeal Stout is nitrogen-infused to give it an extra smooth and creamy mouthfeel. An attractive cascade effect gives this beer its forthright visual appeal—and the body and clean flavor delivers on that initial promise.

This is the closest I have found to a Guinness. I have tired a lot of different beers that were pushed as a great alternative but just because the beer is dark does not make it great. I will drink this again. BlackBeerPG (683) - Darien, Illinois, USA - APR 23, 2017
Taste: creamy smooth from oats, only slightly sweet, Chocolate malts, slick mouth-feel and dry finish. Mild malt and cocoa nose. Blackish brown, opaque, nice soft nitro foam head with refined lattice on glass. Medium to Med/lite body. Smoother than Guinness. mcberko (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 14, 2017
On tap at McKay’s, pours a deep dark mahogany / dark brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out light oats and toasted malt. Flavour is very dull, with light oats and bready malt. Creamy palate but painfully bland and lacking depth. Weak stuff.
