Bottle. Fruity aroma and a medium head that dissipated rapidly. The flavor and feel were a bit on the pine and resin side but what mostly showed through was the hoppy bitterness. In terms of APAs it was pretty good.

Draught: Aroma of bready malts and citrus hops. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, off-white head that shrank but lasted throughout. Great lacing. Hazy. Sparkling. Flavors of bready and caramel malts as well as citrus hops. Medium body. Thin, watery texture. Average carbonation. Strange, water-like finish. Overall, disappointing for Founders.

(Bottle) Pours a hazy amber color with a nice sized white head and decent lacing. Fragrant aroma of hops. Taste includes grapefruit, a hint of pine, floral and earthy notes. Solid body and good balance. One of the better APAs Ive had recently.

[Draft @ Capones] Poured a lightly hazy, orange amber color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus fruits, light pine, and a bit of toast as well. Taste of citrus, light tobacco, a bit of nuts, pine, toffee, more toasted malts, and an average mouthfeel.

Light orange, slightly hazy body with huge white head. Grapefruit, pine and biscuit nose. Flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. They are nicely woven together so that there isnt much watery texture between one taste and the other. Lively carbonation in fact, a tad too much carbonation which results in a fizzy mouthfeel. Medium body. Finish is mostly hops. Thought this was a comfortable beer, certainly more muted than many APAs.

12 oz. bottle. Clear amber pour, medium lasting off white head, fair lace. Pine , orange peel, grain in the aroma. Medium body, slightly resinous, clean mouthfeel, light carbonation. Malty, with some sweet nuttiniess, substantial grapefruit bitterness that comes on quickly and lingers.

Light copper color with small white head. Not much lacing to it, but whos complaining. Very pine/resin oriented aroma with a few subtle hints of honey and malt. Very dry, piney hop taste with little sweetness initially. As it warmed the sweetness came around a bit and balanced out nicely. I can definitely see this as a good summer/lawn-mower beer. Founders has yet to disappoint me.

Amber color. Smell of hops, malt, grass, lemons, honey, flowers and candy. Taste of roasted malt, hops, citrus, flowers, bread and a nicer hop bitterness at the end.

In a blind taste test I would have labeled this an English pale ale or a bitter. Aroma was all grassy hops. Pour was a meduim gold with a thin white ring for a head. Taste was thin, dry and moderately carbonated. All grassy and earthy hops with just a hint of malt, but barely noticeable. Nice.

Orange gold color with a small but persistant head. Some haze, which is pretty typical with a dry hopped beer. Citrus (orange, tangerine), citrus pith, and floral aroma. Taste is tangerine, floral, mildly earthy, with a light malt base of caramel and a pleasant bitterness. The finish is moderately bitter (for the style) and very drinkable. A real nice pale ale, not as over the top and aggressive as some west coast "pale ales" but a more traditional example that certainly doesnt lack bitterness.
