Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - OCT 15, 2016
(can) Pours a semi-hazy gold/yellow color with a medium white head that settles to a thin cap. Strong aroma of tangerine and grapefruit emanates from the glass. Further scents of pine and honey with light grass. As it warms, a strong sage component is noted. Sweet pils malt lurks in the background. Taste reveals sweet pils malt upfront before quickly yielding to the onslaught of the citric and piney hop profile. Finish reveals a lingering tangerine component that transitions to bitter grapefruit pith. This element stays on the finish for far too long. Overall this is a serviceable pils, but it’s one that lacks the crisp and snappy finish I desire in the style.

Bottle from Total Wine & More, McLean. Hazy gold body with medium head. Nose is hoppy, citrus ad sprightly notes. Taste is hops, cereal, malts, spices. Clean and crisp texture. Good stuff. Chinook the hop most noticeable.

thedm (6214) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 14, 2016
This draft brew from a beer bar poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent weak yellow colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty and grassy. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Bottle. Yellow / gold pour with a minimal head. Just as they says, it’s a pils with about the same hoppiness as a session IPA. Good brew.

Good beer. Like a session IPA meets a Pilisener. Some nice tropical notes but crisp carbonation of a Pilisener.

Tejas (1006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 13, 2016
I had high hopes for this one but I’m disappointed. Given the choice I’d buy Live Oak pilz, Real Ale Hans Pils and certainly Prima Pils over this any day. It taste funky to me. Not crisp and clean

cheap (5888) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2016
Tap, industry public house. Pale, mild old country pils smell. First taste is certainly old country sharp pils but it has this rubbery attitude about it. Same with the finish, rubbery. Can’t rid itself of the innertube.

Bottle. Golden pour with white head. Light floral, herbal, and citrus hop aromas. Flavors are malty, mild fruit, citrus and herbal tones.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of wheat, malt, citrus. Tastes of citrus, light floral, wheat, light malt. Light body with a dry and crisp finish.

Can. Pale gold in colour with medium carbonation. Loads of Centennial hop aromas of grapefruit, orange blossom, garden weeds, and perfume. Flavors are of squeaky clean pilsner malt, and a boatload of citrusy C-hops. Light bodied with a sharp cleansing bitterness. Not very Pilsner-like, but super tasty.
