UPDATED: NOV 12, 2015 Central Jersey Beer Festival. Spicy...but not too much. Probably an improvement on the standard founders porter. JaBier (7972) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUN 7, 2013
Sample from cask at the 10th annual Barley’s Mini Real Ale Fest on 5/4/13. Darkest brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of malt, molasses, chocolate and peppers. Malty and chocolatey flavor with a peppery finish. Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Sample from cask at the 10th annual Barley’s Mini Real Ale Fest on 05/04/13: The beer is a dark brown color with a thin beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked malt and peppers. Medium body with a smoky character and flavors of malt, dark chocolate and subtle chili peppers. The finish is chocolatey with a mild pepper aftertaste. Decent beer but the treatment takes away more than it enhances.
