Bottle @ Home. Opened to celebrate my rating # 3000 and to sweeten the backlog work, Cheers me! Pours pitch black with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, lots of dark chocolate, coffee, hint of vanilla. Flavor is roasted malts, coffee, dark bitter chocolate aswell as sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, light bitter hops. Medium body, average carbonation, dry roasted finish. A mighty fine porter, yummi. 291212 budznsudz (584) - Audubon, New Jersey, USA - DEC 28, 2012
Pours dark brown/black with a nice espresso head that fades to a ring. The aroma is deep chocolate and vanilla swirl with toasted malt and a bit of coconut. The taste is roasted malt, vanilla, oak, chocolate, and coffee. There is a silky smootheness that coats the tongue to the long finish. One of the best porters I’ve had. chicowv (477) - Canaan Valley, West Virginia, USA - DEC 22, 2012
12 oz bottle: Pours dark black with a thin light brown head. Sticky, oily on the glass. Aroma is nice chocolate malts, caramel, floral hops and slight licorice. Taste is nice an malty, thick chocolate layer with a mix of lighter toasted malt and some floral hop flavor for balance. If it had just a tad more hop it would be nearly perfect. Nice mouthfull, very easy to drink, great aftertaste that makes you want a second drink. Easily one of the best porters out there. whitehotg8 (85) - Illinois, USA - DEC 22, 2012
This is my favorite Porter. It surpasses the others by providing an excellent overall experience. Pours smooth with a minimal toffee colored head. Malty and roasty with coffee, fruit and cocoa, balanced by some hop floral dryness toward the end. Dare I say a "sessionable" porter. Perfect for the colder months in the snow belt. Founders nailed this one. ColovianTrader (464) - - DEC 21, 2012
Smooth coffee and toast flavors. Dark roasted chocolate and hints of raisins. Very smooth and medium/heavy bodied.

Appearance: Nice dark motor oil, small off white head quickly dissipates.
Smell: lots of coffee, dark cocoa and dark toasted malt aroma. I’m getting some vanilla as well.
Taste: taste has coffee, dark chocolate caramel, and bitterness of the malts used. taste a lot like a the breakfast stout with less coffee.
Mouthfeel: mouth feels a bit heavier, more full-bodied than other porters. Its creamy and has a little bit of tanginess to it. Not getting the bozziness as it a 6.5 abv but its well hidden.
Overall: Good porter.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2012 Bottle 35,5 cl. Black and opaque with a nice, light brown head. Roasted malty with licorice notes and a distinct coffee aroma. Taste is roasted, sweet salty licorice malty and lovely strong coffee notes. Medium body. Dry and lingering, medium bitter finish. Maybe the perfect porter?

Very dark with a creamy head. Mild aroma and a taste of chocolate with a hint of coffee. PhillyCraft (8198) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Old review, Bottle. Pours a thick dark black color with a beautiful lasting brown head. Aromas and flavor of fudge, roasted and choc malts, caramel, tons of fuely hops. Perfectly layered and balanced for the style. Aftertaste is unreal with vanilla and mocha flavors sticking around on the tongue. An exceptional porter in all regards. Cheers. taestee (53) - USA - DEC 14, 2012
Smelled coffee as soon as I opened this one. Nice lacy tan-colored heard. Palate is clean followed by slight bitterness. Taste coffee, a bit of caramel. Nice porter.
