COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

Another fantastic entry from Founders. Dark, velvety pour. Chocolate, smoke, coffee, roasted malts. Bitter afters that works perfect. Drinkable throughout. Great porter.

355 ml bottle at home. Pours a nearly black, deep mahogany with a tan colored head. The aroma is very roasty, coffee, cocoa, toffee, nuts, hints of burnt notes - very rich aroma. Medium soft body, with a soft carbonation, a light sweetness and a light bitterness. The flavor is again dominated by the roasted malt - lots of coffee, cocoa, chocolate, hints of dried fruits. Finishes with quite some roasty bitterness and lots of coffee and coffee grounds. Overall very roasty with lots of coffee - really nice flavors and great balance.

Tap at Luppolo Station in Rome. Black pour with a frothy brownish foam. Nose: powdered barley with highlights of caramel far away and licorice root. Mouth: I expected a sweet porter...no way. It is a classical porter, easy, bitter, not watery but rich of burnt maltiness although clean. The aftertaste is row burnt malts. Lovely

The aroma is malt, bread, a little coffee and chocolate, Pours a dark amber brown with big tan head mostly diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is a medium/light bitter. The body is medium/full, the texture creamy the carbonation lively and the finish bitter and long. Very good.

Bottle. Pours a deep brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, slight roasted malts, a little coffee and subtle tobacco. Taste of chocolate, caramel, slight roasted malts, a little tobacco, a hint of fruit and subtle coffee. Medium bodied and a smooth texture. A dryish, slightly warming, chocolate bitterness in the finish. A really well made and well rounded porter. The description is spot on, enjoyed this.
