COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

Geile Optik, derbe Perlung bringt Cremeschaum, der weiter und weiter wächst. In der Nase süßes Röstmalz, im Trunk süffig malzig, röstig, leichte Espressonoten. Hinten bitter. Langer Abgang. Ich

Pours rich dark brown. The head stays relatively low but it doesn't go anywhere quickly. Smells of dart overripe fruit and chocolate. Flavor of bitter baking chocolate and coffee. Nice that it isn't overly sweet at all. Creamy in the mouth.

Bottle from GO: Poured a dark and opaque brown liquid with a thick foamy head. Aroma is rich and robust with dark roasted malts that give off scents of cocoa powder, chocolate milk, and a hint of coffee. The flavor is bitter and almost tart with roasted black malts and a pinch of lactic taste or half and half. Rich porter that will leave a lasting impression on me from Founder's. Good stuff.

Where Purchased: 347ml bottle from Meijer Consumed: from a pilsner glass Aroma: Smells malty and sweet. Not much of a hop smell. Appearance : unfiltered black with lots of head that disappears very quick. No lacing but dark brown stickyness. Taste: Very sweet and malty. Complex without hops. Palate : full body. Sweet aftertaste. Good carbonation. Overall: What a great beer. Smooth and malty sweet. Complex and easy drinking. I was glad to try and will buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.

Appears from a draft pour a very dark brown and a one finger medium brown head that laces the sides of the pint glass it is presented in. Aroma is mild, yet taste is good and well balanced. This is pretty much a benchmark porter. Its medium in body, moderately roasted, and has brown sugar and light coffee flavors.
