COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

Dark pours, thin oily tan head. Aroma of vanilla with some faint hops. Full bodied palate gives way to some biting alcohol. Taste is sweet vanilla, caramel with some cascading bitter hops. Lacing slides down the glass.

(Founders Porter) Bottle 355 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 6.5% Black coloured body, tall and thick dark brown head on top. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, mocha, olive pit. Taste also of roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate, liquorice, coffee grounds, mocha, nicely bitter finish. Medium thick body, good carbonation. Very good.

Poured from its stubby bottle, this porter from Founders Brewing appears a thick, opaque dark brown-black, topped off with a thick layer of tan froth, which reeds quite quickly, to a thin brown ring, but leaving thick lacing on the glass when agitated later. The aroma is a mix of booziness - characteristic of dried fruits like cherries and raisins, and chocolates with roasted malts, which are mildly coffee-like in their aromas. Taste is a sweet mocha mix of coffee and chocolate, underlaid by roasted malts and nuts. This brew is creamy and smooth, its oiliness coating the mouth and lending weight to its already full-bodied feel. A favourite for a slow lazy sip!

Bottle 355ml, a dark beer with good copper head. Nose is on roasted coffee, aroma is very roasted, dry, light smoked notes, smooth texture, dark chocolate. Bit disappointed about the complexity. Some acrid finish

355ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, dark brown head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, licorice and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, caramel and a hint of vanilla with a bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Awesome, a world class porter!
