3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The son of blushing monk. I know it’s only a 6% beer, but I’m really curious how this will change in 6 months, 1 and 2 years. Re-rate coming.
Pours with very thin lace. Color is clear, slightly lingonberry juice like red. Faint aroma has malt and raspberry, some hoppiness. But again, the aroma is quite faint. Palate is dryish, but there’s some oiliness. Similar to palate in carbonated juices. Taste has raspberry juice, some sourness, some fermented berry, some ale maltiness in the body, some weak hops on the edges. Quite forest-like aroma. I don’t consider this to be something to enjoy in a pub, but having this on a forest trip would be awesome. A very authentic presentation that does not taste artificial, but very real and forest-like. One of the best all-around fruit beers I’ve had. TET (2994) - Kaarina, FINLAND - JUN 26, 2017
A red beer, a head is almost medium and pink. Aroma has strong and natural raspberries, hint of sourness, lemon and wheat. Taste has very strong raspberries, some sweetness and sourness, nothing else is hard to find. Medium bodied. Almost only raspberries, but with nicely natural flavours. Tasteful. Nitro, from tap. Ruby pink color with a finger of creamy pinkish head. Strong berry aromas and flavors. Tart finish, just z hint if sour. Very smooth texture. Not particularly complex, but very refreshing. minihame2 (622) - Oulu, FINLAND - JUN 15, 2017
Clear, blood red colour with light rose lacing. Light aroma with berries. Sweet berry juice taste with light bitterness. Soft carbonation and mouthfeel, medium body. Nice but hardly feels like a beer. Armadill0 (359) - FINLAND - JUN 6, 2017

Taste has raspberry, lemon. Fruity and sour. Short aftertaste.

Not another boring summer wheat beer or lemonade shandy—Rübæus is Founders’ way to celebrate the season’s warmest months. Optimizing the flavor of fresh raspberries added at multiple stages during fermentation, this stunning berry red masterpiece is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. No question about it, with a hefty malt bill and 5.7% ABV, this beer is 100% Founders.

Great summer beer, light and fruity. Raspberry is dominant, instead of an aftertaste. Metalchopz (3364) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 18, 2017
4-pack in Woodbury, VT. Hazy amber colour with a pink hue. Pink-white head with decent lacing. Sweet nose of the fruitiness of the raspberries with some yeast in the finish. Same for the taste with some light tart from the sweet yeast. A nice sweet and fruity raspberry beer. Good for one, as gets rich. DrNosha (2287) - Württemberg, Germany, GERMANY - MAY 13, 2017
Vom Fass. Rotes klares Bier, flacher Schaum. Intensiver Himbeerduft. Fast etwas Bonbon artig. Fruchtiger Antrunk. Jede Menge Himbeere. Angenehme Säure. Bleibt lange fruchtig. Das Bier hällt exakt was es verspricht! MBlessing (1296) - Württemberg, GERMANY - MAY 13, 2017
Rotes Bier schaum Ok, im Geruch Himbeere säuerlich, im Geschmack auch richtig schön nach Himbeere säuerlich süffig, ich find es lecker
