Hazy deep orange. Nose spicy, a bit grassy, some vague funk. Falvor is initially fruity and mildly tart, bit of grassiness to it, slight barnyard. A mite toasty, kind of odd. Not a classic saison, but not bad. 1FastSTi (3361) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 19, 2005
The aroma is citrus, red fruit malts, dark wheat bread, slight sourness. The appearance is a rich red-mahogany with a thin white head. Poor lacing and a little watery. The flavor has a slight sourness. Hay, spiciness, good maltiness, sour fruits (green and red apples). Balanced very nicely. The palate has a medium mouthfeel with balanced carbonation and acidity. This apeased me very nicely. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 22, 2005
Minimum off-white head that vanishes almost immediately, topping a thick and completely opaque apple cider body. Aroma is medium sweet, coriander, orange, some pepper, apple. Taste is about the same, though with less orange. Medium body, light acidity, lacks the dryness I generally associate with saisons.
