COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This bold, imperial brown ale gets its body from a team of malts including Caramel malt for sweetness, flaked barley for dense foam, a bit of Chocolate malt for its deep color and Aromatic and Munich malts to add even more depth. German and Perle hops add a touch of bitterness to balance the malty sweetness. The addition of rich Sumatra coffee takes this perfectly balanced imperial brown ale to a decadent level.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip: Pours clear dark brown with almost no head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, leaves, earth. Taste is mildly sweet, lots of burned roasted coffee and malt, light caramel. Very smooth, medium body, tons of coffee, very tasty.

12oz bottle pours with a clear dark brown body that has thin gold edges and supports a tan head. The aroma offers up a snippet of chili pepper coffee oils, that nearly faded away after a few minutes, as well as rich smelling earthy modestly roasted coffee and then a light sense of malts and caramel malts at the end of the draw. The taste delivers the expected rich smooth earthy coffee goodness that builds into a modest layer of dark roasted to faintly burnt coffee. At midway the mild malts show and toward the finish it gets into a light sweet nuttiness. This is a fine rich coffee brown.
