A really interesting beer with a lot going on. You can taste the hops but also maple and some citrus. definitely worth giving a taste. TheBeerOrg (2145) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUN 12, 2010
Pours bright golden with a thin wispy white head. Notes of maple, toffee, wood, oak, vanilla, and resinous citrus. Full bodied and resinous with moderate carbonation. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 20, 2010
Rich golden pour with a nice white head. Aroma, well its delicious. Sweet and resinous. Some caramel notes and yeasty a bit. Flavor is hoppy and sweet. A really cool beer. I get hints of citrus, pine, maple, oak, bread, and some tropical fruits. Wow, great stuff. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - MAY 16, 2010
Clear golden amber with a small off-white head, quickly fading to a swirling film. Hoppy pineapple up front with some spicy bourbon and sweet caramel, some citrus and oak behind. Flavor is much the same--really digging the pineapple fruity orange hops, especially considering the BA-ness of it all. Moderate sweetness, though the barrel, light alcohol, and bitterness help temper pretty well. Dry finish with bitterness at a 4-5, some alcohol noted. Big full body with light carbonation. Very, very nice. wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - MAY 15, 2010
great beer, somehow tastes like a holiday pumkin version of a iipa. and it’s great! some heat, lots of pumpkin and spices to match, hoppy grapefruit, citrus, pine, apple and pineapple. pretty sweet and szrpy, which is all part of the experience! would be a great winter iipa offering! seriously, it is so pumpkin like to me it reminds me off an uber hopped pumpking!

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2010 Double trouble in those famous syrup barrels! Pours amber. Translucent with white head. Aroma of maple, vanilla, hot hops, Bourbon and sugar. Simply wonderful. Dense, creamy mouthfeel opens up sweet Bourbon, maple, caramel, vanilla, resinous hops. Maple cuts down the booziness that is so apparent in Nemesis, death and the original hand of doom.
