Poured a wonderful deep, shiny brown, with some very excellent tan head and some nice lacing.
Deep dark malt scent with roasted grains and a coffee note.

Aroma: Coffee, slightly smokey roasted malts, chocolate. No dominant flavors from the yeast.
Appearance: Stable, long-lived fine tan head, deep brown color and low turbidity
Taste: Very well balanced sweetness with smooth but substantial hopping. Moderately sweet and moderately bitter.
Palate: Smooth, sweet and flavorful with a drying hops finish, medium bodied and well carbonated.

12 oz bottle from Big Red Liquors in Carmel, Indiana. Beautiful crystal clear ruby/brown color with a very thin veil of light tan head. Roasted malt and wood aromas with a bit of chocolate. Some of that chocolate comes through lightly as milk and bittersweet. Perfect roasted grain flavor that expands through the sip with a fresh brewed coffee note. Light sweetness with a root beer component which is balanced by just enough earthy hop bitterness. Great roasted, woody aftertaste that lasts and ties up the taste perfectly. There’s a really elegant mix of flavors and the balance is awesome. I rate this very highly as it seems to match (to my limited knowledge) the profile of an English porter which is hard to find these days. Excellent! On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee grounds, roasted nuts, roasted malt. Flavor of roasted and charred malts, roasted nuts, peanut butter, and chocolate. A roasty, coffee flavored porter. Excellent!

Appearance: Opaque black with short lasting off-white head
Aroma: Fruity, alcohol, chocolate
Taste: Fruity, banana undertones, with slightly bitter dark chocolate flavors
Palate: Full mouthfeel, slightly chalky, unique cocoa like bitterness, but finishes sweet and dry.
Overall: Interesting porter that brings in some elements that make it quite enjoyable and different than "american" porters.
