I thought this was a really nice drink. The can is awesome how it opens wide mouth, you really get to smell the beer and it allows for a better aroma than traditional can. The taste was not bad. I’d get it on tap

Sampled at CBC, pours an amber with some cloudy, white head. Nose has grist, lemon, yeast, very yeasty in fact. Flavor is grist, cracker, fall fruit. Dry, malty, finish.

RSRIZZO (2034) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 21, 2017
12oz can poured into a Shaker. Color is a bright Amber with mellow carbonation and a thin tight off white head. Aroma is roasted malt with a little bit of hops in the background. It has a lighter body with a crisp mouthfeel. Flavor is roasted malt backed by a peppery hop citrus. In the aftertaste the citrus stands out a little more with the bitterness holding on. Overall it’s a nice easy drinking Red Ale.

Pours a thick, well retained, ivory head over a clear copper (SRM 16) body.......nose is light pine, slight resin, toasted malts with toffee/caramel tones, nicely balanced.......taste is mild hints of toffee/caramel type sweetness, toffee/caramel, cracker, toast, all from the malts, hops add light spice, then bitterness, with lingering pine, resin tones, balanced.......mouth feel, medium body, no alcohol, medium carbonation. This is on the hoppy end of the Amber spectrum with hops dominant on the finish, and the malts being forward early in taste with pleasant toffee/caramel tones. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7

Can. Pours amber with huge beige sticky head. Aroma sweet, caramel, honey, malty, brown sugar, hay. Taste: burnt caramel, malty, sweet and bitter, Medium body. Nice. Dry-bitter finish.

Tap - as "Heart O’ Texas" at the brewery last week (would not upload from Beer Buddy) - fair size foamy head, pretty dark red/amber color, sweet caramel malty aroma and flavor, fair earthy and fruity hop balance, slightly dry finish, pretty good overall

Aromas are good but faint, some citrus along with toasted caramel. Deep amber body with a thin soapy ring for the head. Flavor of the toasted caramel malts, they also have a slight burnt note with the hop bitterness coming in on the backside. Overall not too shabby.
