4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
So many complex flavors but all very distinct and bold. All very appropriate to style. Very good beer.
Deep dark brown pour with a beige head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet dates, raisin, spice, and nutty. Taste is caramel, nutty, spicy yeast, raisin, and some dark fruit. Medium body. Really nice beer. dlihcsnatas (779) - Temple, Texas, USA - DEC 25, 2015
Brown brew with fast fading tan head that smells of spice and something sweet. Taste is a blast of thick caramelized sugar with some allspice and ginger. There are some other spices in there but not being able to really pick them out from this thick and sweet ale. Has all the makings of a Christmas treat. Over sweetened and over spiced, like a fruitcake base and a sugar coma finish. Got a six pack of this and yes it was a bit higher priced than most but well worth it. This is the ale that will finish out my Christmas drunk and I am thinking this is the right brew for the job. kevinator (2713) - The Colony, Texas, USA - MAR 28, 2015
Good flavor and aroma of biscuity malts mixed with holiday spices and a Belgian yeast character. Nice soft color and medium weight, not too boozy. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2014

On tap at TCT.
Deep brown brew with some tan head. Big time ginger nose with spices, toffee, and chocolate. Not nearly as much ginger in the flavor as the nose led on. Brown sugar sweetness, spices, caramel. Like a gingersnap cookie in a glass. Errl (2577) - Plano, Texas, USA - DEC 26, 2013

Tap at the Fillmore. Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has some clove, cinnamon and chocolate notes, as well as some toffee. The flavor is similar. The clove, cinnamon and nutmeg really come through strongly and are complemented by some brown sugar, caramel and toffee malt. There is a bit of alcohol. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Draught > LUCK. This is a very solid ale from four corners. It's fruity and spicy(ginger??) and a sneaky really easy drinker at 8%. I think this is their best beer just in front of their porter.
