A crisp IPA with a hop forward nose that leads to an abundance of hop flavor on the pallate. I-77 will intrigue the hop lover who knows a quality beer and isnít afraid to challenge themselves with the bold flavors of Warrior, Chinook, Williamette, and Cascade hops.

On tap at midwood smokehouse Charlotte nc. I77 pours a medium copper with a decent head of small bubbles. Good hop presence on nose with woody aspects. Taste is strong hop hit with good underlying bitters and broadness of texture from malt. Body is lively. Finish is tacky with good bitters around the sides of the mouth. Decent average ipa.

On tap. I agree with most comments, ok ipa but nothing to get excited about. Still enjoyable on a snowy day.

Location: Draft @ Dillingerís Tap Room, 12/9/12

Aroma: The nose is a little resiny, with some pine, and some butterscotch notes
Appearance: Pours a caramel-orange color, with a fairly lacy, off-white colored head
Flavor: The taste is fairly malty and a touch off, with some butterscotch, caramel, and citrus hops too
Palate: Thereís something imperfect about the palate, though it has an alright body and mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This is not a great one. I guess it drank OK, but it just felt a little off, and nothing about it really worked all that well. It wasnít terrible, but it was perfectly mediocre.

Draft at six pence pub. Pours orange with a thin white head. Not much on the nose. Tastes like butterscotch. Not getting much hop anything. Bleh! I need mouthwash.

Pours deep clear amber into a shaker. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Slightly sour malt and resin aromas. Crisp with sour malt upfront turning to mild resin in the lasting finish.

On tap in the tasting room at the brewery, served in a pint glass. The beer pours a slightly cloudy amber/copper color with about two fingers worth of off white head that recedes quickly leaving behind lots of sticky lacing. The piney hops dominate the nose. You have to really be looking to get the hint of sweet caramely malts. The hops are just as present in the flavor as they are in the nose. Big piney, and to a lesser degree, citrusy hop character with a sweet, grainy malt backbone that is not quite big enough to balance it out. Moderately bitter, with lots of hop flavor. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Overall, this is a decent beer, maybe not quite a great beer, but good. Rather enjoyable
