Bottle from Wholefoods. This is a pretty boring stout. For the price $7.99 its not so bad though. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - JAN 16, 2013
12oz bottle. Dark brown. Looks like a Porter. Aroma of roasted malts & dirty ashtray with stale pretzels. Thin body, roasted character. A bit acidic finish. Tastes like a cold attempt on a Baltic Porter. (3583) RSRIZZO (2032) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JAN 16, 2013
12oz bottle courtesy of Headbanger. Color is black with light carbonation and a small tight tan head. Aroma is a sweet roasted malt scent with a bit of chocolate. Medium body with a thin mouth feel. Flavor is lighter then excepted from the aroma with a light roasted malt giving just a touch of coffee and a sweet feel. After taste has a faint smoke showing up. Overall its a weak Stout. 12oz bottle 1/4/13 (Whole Foods-Naperville) -42° in English Pint-Pours black with ruby tints. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Taste of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. This light to medium bodied brew is not bad as I was expecting worse. sloshgator (770) - Orlando, Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Blind Stud Stout is not terrible tasting but is pretty boring as the style goes. Thin head that dissipates quickly. Not much aroma. Blind Stud has a hint of chocolate taste that disappears quickly and not much else. Save your money for something else.

Bottle. Dark brown, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some roasted malt and light coffee. Body is light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, light roasted malt. Finish is short to average, malty and lightly sweetish, some roasted malt and light coffee. Watery and quite uninteresting stout.

12oz bottle from a 6er. Pours black, offwhite head. Aroma of chocolate, taste of sour chocolate, kinda something else, decent finish. Nothing special. bhensonb (15760) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle from the Folsom Whole Foods. Label has no "Blind Stud", just stout. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aromas of chocolate and a little coffee. Plus something rather unusual. Med body or less. Flavor is chocolate with hardly any coffee. There’s something herbal lurking in the background. Reminds me of Horlicks malt tablets - which I haven’t thought about in a long time. It’s drinkable. Just not a super example of the style. nick76 (4402) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 10, 2012
The aroma is sweet and toasted with hints of chocolate and coffee. There is also a cola/root beer quality in there. The appearance is medium red brown with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is a but thin for a stout. Overall I am not really a fan. It’s drinkable but like the others of this series quality seems like and afterthought. Well, this isn’t even on the Four in Hand website yet, so I can’t find a commercial description. 12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized foamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, faint stone fruits and floral hops. The taste is roasted malts, cocoa and a bitter, almost tinny hop finish. Thin-medium bodied. Fairly mundane.
