Draft sample. Poured clear amber color with an average to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy resin eathy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations and a standout for this brewer.

On tap at the brewery and again at the AZ strong beer fest. Deep gold color. Nice roasty caramel malt flavor with a ton of citrus and pine hops. Really good stuff! Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 20, 2010
On tap at the 2010 AZ Strong Beer Festival. Pours clear dark gold with a nice white head. The nose is ripe citrus and caramel malt. The taste follows suit with a nice tart hop finish. Medium mouthfeel. Good DIPA. Doon (109) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 20, 2010
Wow! I had this at AZ’s strong beerfest and again I had a snifter yesterday at the Snottsdale location. This stuff is nice and dangerous! Good thing my professional designated driver was there... Thanks sweetie! Poured a golden copper’ish color with little head. Aroma was out of this world! Smelled almost like fresh cut lawn clippings shoved into my face! The taste was smooth and crisp. This was a double IPA done right. They went overboard without trying to make it obvious they were going for a hit! Nice one. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 19, 2010
Sampled @ Scottsdale location. Vibrant golden tangerine pour with a white cotton head that left clumps of foam hanging to the inside of the glass. Aroma is bright and floral with orange rind, grapefruit pith, and lemon zest. Flavor combines citrus with honey-baked biscuit. Nice combination of resinous hops and subtle caramel malt. This is definitely Hop Knot on steroids. Really nice beer.

Nice pour at the AZ strong beer ferst. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Good honey notes, citrus and floral hops and come biscuity notes too. Flavor is sweet and balanced by some floral and earthy hops. Well done. Very nice. rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - FEB 11, 2010
pours a orange with a sticky white head that leaves lacing all over the edge of my snifter. aroma is sticky citrusy hops and malt. flavor is hop forward with a decent malt backbone. finish is a little strange and sawdust hop like which threw me off at first but now i think i’m diggin for more of this. jarspag (601) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 11, 2010
On tap at the Tempe brewery. First off, Hop Knot is a great IPA ... super flowery, light, sharp, and flavorful. Double Knot is up the same alley. Same hop bill, which is perfect (Simcoe in there?) ... great beer. nbutler11 (1267) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2010
On tap at the Tempe location. Pours a bright copper color with a trim off-white head. Loaded with citrus and hops in the aroma. Tastes of further hops, flour, malt, and apricot on the mid palate. Finishes like cotton, but otherwise a really great DIPA. Bockyhorsey (2627) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - FEB 7, 2010
Man first time vistied this place with out wife. Little stange sitting at the bar. Had a good citrus nose for aroma. Polished copper body with decent head. Flavorfull double ipa with good citrus flavor and malt I thought was little thin and the good cool and crisp thin g for the palte was good for me. Good brew.
