COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

Can. Pale copper with head and lace. Grapefruit and pine with some biscuity malt aroma. Medium fruity biscuity sweetness with assertive juicy bitter hop, though necessarily dry. Pretty standard IPA. Very good.

Can 335ml @ fonefan
Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grassy, floral, citrus, grape and hint of caramel. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter with a long fruity bitter finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft

Can. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. A bit flour like on the nose, mostly fruity, citrusy and piney, and with some maltyness in the back. Nice bitterness in the flavor, backed up by a lightly sweetish maltyness, and with piney, resiny hop flavors. Full-bodied, semi-dry and pleasantly carbonated. Mostly bitter finish, with some resiny, fruity notes. A quite pleasant one, easy drinkable and sufficiently tasteful. 120817

Can thanks to fata2683 drank on national IPA day: Poured a burnt orange with a huge frothy off white lacing head. Aroma is nice balance of hops and malt. Taste is a nice gritty full hops flavored front with a soothing malt and fruit finish.

One of my favorites. Lot of floral hop taste, lighter on the bitterness side for an ipa.

Can. Pours a light colored slightly cloudy golden color with a nice fluffy white head. Head pillows up nicely and slowly recedes. Has more of a fruity orange rind aroma than anything. Medium mouthfeel. Nice flavors, smooth and sweet upfront with orange and grapefruit. I’d say it has a medium level of bitterness that kicks in towards the end and lingers for a touch but otherwise ends pretty clean.
