COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

On tap at Top Golf, Scottsdale, Az. Pours clear golden color with sizeable eggshell head and lacing. Aroma is orange, very hop forward and little bit of biscuit malt. Flavor is grapefruit, bit of lemon peel, distinct malt backbone. Very well balanced. Not a standout IPA but it is very well done. Not overly hoppy either.

Consumed in glass after being poured from can. Obtained from a friend who visited AZ. Pour is a very pleasant orange color with a noticeable haze. Minimal, quickly dissipating head with a desire to cling to the glass. Aroma is definitely hops with emphasis on resiny notes. Slight sweetness trying to come through as a result of malty backbone. Strong hop bitterness hits at the back end of the taste. Citrus peel. Maybe a slight tropical fruit element but overwhelming resembles standard West Coast IPAs. Its actually a pretty tasty, refreshing beer. First one Ive tried from this brewery (first one from AZ for that matter) and I would knot (clever right? ) hesitate to try again.

Pours a deep orangish copper with a soapy white head. Aroma of sweet pale malts, caramel, passionfruit, mango, guava and other floral esthers. Taste is a nice sweet pale caramel maltiness up front with tropical fruits, mango and guava hop flavors intertwined smoothly with bitter pine flavors. Finish is nice and bitter but very well balanced and smooth... Never harsh. Great full flavor American ipa.

Tasted on 5/14/13 on draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy burnt orange with an average khaki head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is dank resin hops with some citrus peel, and just enough bread malt to balance. The flavor is a bit more malt with the same hops profile from the nose, and just the right amount of bitterness. The body is medium and somewhat sticky with average but smooth carbonation and a long bitter dank resin hops finish.

On tap at ZTejas and I think I had a 12 oz can at the Phoenix airport too. Golden amber appearance with a sticky white head. Herbal hops, floral notes, light citrus and a touch of pine. Medium body, pretty clean and crisp.

Tap at some Mexican place in Tempe

Rather light-colored pour, hazy yellow-tan, nice head. Wow, this is a pleasant surprise for a beer I knew nothing about. Really enjoyable leafy hop aroma with tropical fruit and some citrus. Flavor is richly hopped but never bitter-oily. Really good stuff.

Perfect ipa. Everything a good ipa provides: cool refreshing taste, lightly bitter yet clean aftertaste, and plenty of alcohol.
