Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

Pours a golden orange. Aromas of pineapple, slight mango, citrus, malt, slight pine and grapefruit. Initial flavor is sweet with a nice bitter backbone. Flavors of tropical fruit, grapefruit rind bitterness, a nice hop spiciness, typical malt background and a little touch of resin/pine. Mouthfeel is oily and a tad sticky. Overall a pretty solid IPA. Worth a try.

Hazy gold with a one-finger white head and moderate lace. Herbal hops, almost minty, orange jam, toasted malt, medicinal. Medium body, lively carbonation and a clean crisp finish. Very interesting - in a good way.

tomer (3681) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - AUG 21, 2017
At a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy head, clear oxidized orange color, aroma of orange marmalade with just a fruity hint, flavor of orange marmalade, herbs and nuts, coarse shrubby bitterness. Old and not good.

Can sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Stas. Golden. Malt, stale hops, sweetish, bitter finish.

Bottle 12oz. Clear golden with a white head. Subtle hoppy aroma, which also applies for the flavour. Nice bitter finish which is rather long.

blipp (9590) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 16, 2017
Can. Pours golden orange with a white head. Herbal hops, a little flowery, mild malty sweetness, light bitterness, and an herbal hoppy finish. Fine.

snoworsummer (5956) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 22, 2017
Draft at South Beach. Pours gold with a bubbly off white head. Tastes like pale malts, some dried fruits, toffee, and stale beer. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like toffee, booze, pale malts, dried fruits, and corn.

sonnycheeba (6259) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 22, 2017
Tap. Pours clear gold. Aroma and flavor are toasted and pale malts, weak floral and grassy hops with not enough bitterness to be an English pale ale and a terrible vinegar aroma. Medium body and low carb.
