COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

Pours a golden orange. Aromas of pineapple, slight mango, citrus, malt, slight pine and grapefruit. Initial flavor is sweet with a nice bitter backbone. Flavors of tropical fruit, grapefruit rind bitterness, a nice hop spiciness, typical malt background and a little touch of resin/pine. Mouthfeel is oily and a tad sticky. Overall a pretty solid IPA. Worth a try.

Bottle to glass. Aroma is weird to me, I smell nothing but ham, yes ham. Glazed ham. Appearance is cloudy and the color of cider. Taste is not bold but it is refreshing and very easy on the tastebuds. Easy hop taste with absolutely no harshness. This is a very drinkable beer. Would get again.

Btl pours a crystal clear light bronze color with a big white head that lingers, leaving massive curtains of lace on glass with each sip. Aromas pine tar, sweet bread, dank and toffee.Tastes of citrusy grapefruit, lemon, oranges and sweet caramel. Medium body, perfect carbonation, smooth mouthfeel, clean hop bitterness with a slightly sweet finish. Over all this is really a well balanced beer. Easy to drink IPA with no harsh hop bitterness. Crisp and clean hop flavors really bump it up to the next level. Definitely crushable!

Crap. Had at Phoenix airport so could just be stale/old. Taste just falls flat on its face. No aroma at all. No bitterness from carbonation or hops. Maybe I shouldn't have even tried a beer made in Arizona? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft to 32 oz plastic cup Consummation: Orange, grapefruit, pine sap, pith Adjunct: Aroma of lavendar, plumeria, caramel, and grapefruit; clear amber with a thin white head; pretty damn good for a beer poured at the Freemint experience into a plastic cup

Draught at PHX. Bright citrus up front with cracker malt in the back. Clear pale gold with minimal retained head but patterns down glass. Flavor is fresh citrus and bright floral. Moderate bittering is well balanced. Slight pine on the back. Good beer.

On tap at Four Peaks in Tempe, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out a touch of diacetyl, along with piney hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is better, with piney hops, some citrus and biscuity malt. Lacking character and oomph. Its inoffensive but decently made.

Draft at PHX. Pours a clear orange color with a thin, laced head. Floral aroma with a nice sense of hops. Great taste. Strong citrus presence with a nice floral hoppy finish. A suprisingly good IPA. I will have to look out for this in California.

Pours golden orange with a very fine haze and good 1" head with nice retention. The pine and citrus aroma is mild and softened in the aroma but front and center in the first sip. Big bold hop flavor without all the sharp tannic mouthfeel, finishes dry and clean.

Bronzed body with a 1/2" thick head. Mild, leafy bitter nose with a touch of citrus. The body exhibits qualities that are reflective of the flavor along with more of an orange zest presence. Nicely balanced and refreshing.
