COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

12 oz. bottle from BOLTZ7555. Pours a clear dark golden color with a medium sized white head; lasting. The aroma had some nice citrus, grapefruit hops and some resin. Mild caramel sweetness with a touch of honey. The flavor has a lightly toasted caramel base with some citrus hoppiness. Hints of resin and honey. This has decent flavor, but only mild bitterness.

Amber pour. Aroma has citrus and pine hops to go with some caramel malt. Flavor is hoppy, but not overly bitter. Offset by a good hit of caramel and honey. Not bad, not amazing.

Draft in a taster at the Wilson Taproom. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Notes of caramel and toasted malts, citrusy and piney hops, some grass - very basic, straightforward, fresh IPA. Which works. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a fruity, fresh mouthfeel. Good IPA.

12oz can from beerboxer. Pours cloudy golden with a nice white head and a floral aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a moderately bitter finish. A nice warm weather drink.

Draft at The Big Pour in Scottsdale. Wonderful fresh citrus, necterine, and resin aromas and flavours, lots of aromatics here with the expected bitter finish. Very tasty IPA. A nice surprise!

Tap @ Four Peaks Tempe. Pours a dark golden orange appearance with a white head. Spicy, light ganja, a bit resiny aroma. Toasted malty, spicy, piney hoppy flavor. Nice beer.

Draught. Marks for Appearance are an average, as beer was sampled in weak artificial light after dark. Very light citrussy-fruity nose, light vanilla. Restrained hopflavour, rather neutral, non-sweet malts, little touch of some (sweeter) spirit. Medium bodied, light creamy texture. Another good IPA, with a rather restrained hopcharacter.

Can. Pours golden orange with a white head. Herbal hops, a little flowery, mild malty sweetness, light bitterness, and an herbal hoppy finish. Fine.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Light malt aroma. Citrus and malt flavor. Medium bodied. OK bitterness. Light grapefruit and light malt lingers.
