COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

My "go-to" house IPA. You can’t go wrong with this. Hopefully it becomes widely available so that others can experience one of the best regular beers by this Tempe institution.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2018 Muy buena IPA, de Four Peaks B.C. adecuado color, aroma lupuloso intenso, carbonatado justo, sabor y retrogusto muy nobles. ideal para maridaje con carnes rojas y mariscos.

16oz can from Park Plaza Deli, Prescott, AZ. A hazy pale amber pour with a dense cream coloured head - unusually pale for an IPA; big tropical fruit aroma; sharply resinous taste, stripping the taste buds immediately, but leaving some thin fruity malts and a mild burning snesation. Unpleasantly over hopped.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2017 From can - The pour is blond, clear, highly carbonated with a quickly thinning head that lingers. The aroma is bright, citrusy, hoppy and grass notes. The taste is initially sweet with a slight bitterness and hops. Not overly hoppy in the palate but does finish with a strong hop aroma. The mouthfeel is medium with a nice hopped finish. Overall the beer is a solid IPA.

I'm sure everyone here has heard the expression "right up the Wazoo", meaning "in large or excessive quantities, to disgusting excess". I was wondering if anyone knew exactly where "the Wazoo" actually is?

Bottle from Gilley's Saloon at Treasure Island Casino in Las Vegas. Hops from start to finish with this beer. While it is packed full of hops there is not the sharp bitterness that you would expect and it is not as chewy as I thought that it would be.

Hazy gold with a one-finger white head and moderate lace. Herbal hops, almost minty, orange jam, toasted malt, medicinal. Medium body, lively carbonation and a clean crisp finish. Very interesting - in a good way.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy head, clear oxidized orange color, aroma of orange marmalade with just a fruity hint, flavor of orange marmalade, herbs and nuts, coarse shrubby bitterness. Old and not good.
