2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear straw but less head than you would expect for a kolsch. Nice noble hop aroma that is counterpounted by a slight pale malt note on the taste. Palate is a bit too sharply carbonated. Hop finish is a bit strong.
UPDATED: JAN 10, 2018 Draft. It poured gold with a thin white head. It has a light floral aroma with notes of honey. It has a smooth finish. jonas (8278) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - OCT 12, 2017
Sampled at GTBF 2006 as Dog Days?: Very pale golden, foamy white head. No aroma. Grainy light base, light citric counter. Light body. Forgettable. beernbourbon (1604) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - JUL 12, 2017
Draft at NY pizza dept. Ice friggen cold in a frosty pint glass. Nearly clear yellow with the faintest haze. Aroma and flavor are so crisp and pure with a hint of malt, yeast, and light bitterness. Certainly swayed by the 109 temp out and the beautiful cold beer in front of me, but I love it. mcberko (19837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 23, 2016
On tap at Four Peaks in Tempe, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out cereal notes and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is clean, with cereal malts and biscuity notes. True to style and easy to drink, but... it’s a kolsch. BrewBoxer (2667) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 17, 2016

Clear, white golden appearance with blonde hues. Good, foamy white head shows moderate retention.
Light corn, vanilla and other cereal-derived notes aren’t quite as delicate as the real thing, but there’s certainly nothing off-putting or artificial here. Very low hops, with only a passing herbal character (dill, thyme) and a moderately sweet dough and cracker-like finish. Obviously the requisite "light, mindless, mass-appeal" beer for them, but it dosent disappoint.
Well-attenuated, with grass, vanilla, honey and cracker notes all combining nicely. Very strong carbonation perhaps gives it more of a dry feel than it actually is; I do get some sweet doughiness on the end which feels a bit rushed in brewing. Kolsch is probably a bit of a stretch, but it’s a fine, clean, easy-drinking golden ale.
Simple beer, clean with just a hint of hop and bitterness. Meant to be a pretty broadly appealing beer. Its fine, but not much going on here. ArrogantBastard1 (4) - - SEP 28, 2015 does not count
On tap at 1702 in Tuscon. A light, almost citrus aroma and flavor, clear yellow. A bright beer, good as a session variety, but nothing else. Perfect for anyone who likes Coors Light instead of plain water.
