COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true English Indian Pale Ale. Our Raj IPA is created with a medium body and finishes dry and bitter – possibly even more so than your Uncle Sal after you broke his window when you were eleven. Our English IPA has an intense hop flavor and high hop bitterness. The lofty hop level was originally required so the ale would stay preserved and survive the voyage around Africa during the English occupation of India in the 18th century.

Dark yellow with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit and old hop. Flavour is malt, medium sweet, hop, dusty, little citrus, little harsh and a little bitter.

On draft @ Whole Foods Mayo. Not much in the nose- some faint hops. Thin mouthfeel. Not too hoppy in the flavor, either. Was expecting alot more from Four Peaks. More like a very pale ale.

Golden orange Pour, white head. Floral and citrusy on the nose. Malt on the front of the taste with some nice hop character and some bitterness. Wonderful IPA and very tasty.

On-tap at Four Peaks, Saturday, July 28th, 10:02 AM. Pours russet-amber with a quickly-dispensable off-white head. Smells of...gee wiz: hops, pine cones and lactic acid. Tastes of crisp hops, pines, white wheat and Caramalt. I had a dandy of a time sipping this; you should too.

On tap at the Tempe brewery. Deep copper color with sweet, roasted aroma. Well balanced IPA with a sweet caramel and vanilla flavor balanced by an earthy, citrusy hop bitterness. This seems like an English IPA but everything’s amped up a bit. Finishes sweet with a lasting sugary caramel flavor.

Tap pours copper with a nice lasting white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is big caramel and breaded malts, thin citrus hop notes. Flavor is more malt forward, but the hops add a nice dry finish of pine and grapefruit.

On tap @ Four Peaks. Poured a clear pale orange with a thin white head. Light floral hop nose. Bitter, piny hop flavor. Fairly thin body with a bitter aftertaste, and quite one-dimensional with the floral hop aroma and taste.

I had this on cask today at 4 peaks in Scottsdale. Its a light colored Ipa, golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is floral hops. The taste is light bitterness, some floral hops, and light Malts. A little boring to be honest. This is an English style pale ale that doesn’t really appeal to me.

Pours clear and rich copper flavor with medium head with medium lacing. Modeeatley bitter taste with resin and pine hops and caramel malt. Hint of sweet with the malt. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Medium finish. Good beer. I prefer the hop knot a little more..
