A true English Indian Pale Ale. Our Raj IPA is created with a medium body and finishes dry and bitter – possibly even more so than your Uncle Sal after you broke his window when you were eleven. Our English IPA has an intense hop flavor and high hop bitterness. The lofty hop level was originally required so the ale would stay preserved and survive the voyage around Africa during the English occupation of India in the 18th century.

In tap at Nobel Hops, Oro Valley AZ. Nice pour with a thin head. Very tasty and crisp. Refreshing with a bite at the back end. Good for you Tempe!

BK7 (773) - Turner, Oregon, USA - NOV 28, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Weaker of the two India Pale Ales offered. Malt and hop flavors present but a bit out of balance. Flat finish.

DiarmaidBHK (4797) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2011
Draft at brewpub. Easily the least impressive beer of the night. Not much on the tongue or the nose. Clean finisher. Not bad just boring.

highibus (821) - Vail, Arizona, USA - JUL 10, 2011
Clear copper color with little head. Light aroma of citrus and pine. Flavor is nice balanced hops with enough malt. Not overly hoppy. But nice nonetheles.

jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 9, 2011
on tap-pours a white ring for a head and gold color. Aroma is some pine, some light/medium malt. Taste is some pine hops, some light/medium malt-caramel.

Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAY 1, 2011
Poured up on tap at the Tempe Four Peaks with clear copper body and white head. The mild, nay, faint aroma seems earthy and maybe spicy too. The taste is smooth with sweet malts and a touch of roasted malts rolling into spicy hops and a mild yeast. Toward midway it picks up an additional note of earthy hops. I love English style IPA that don’t embrace floral hoppiness. This one is right up my alley. I love the play between the spicy hops, earthy hops and malts.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - APR 25, 2011
Clear light amber/ ivory head. Mild caramel, pale malt aromas. Medium bodied with soft co2. Sweet honey pale malt flavors with some pine sap hops--ok

dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 25, 2011
On tap. Pour is deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma shows notes of caramel, mango, mandarin orange and light florals. Flavor shows the same with additional citrus and pine notes. Overall body is moderate, sticky, and finishes with nicely balanced bitterness.

Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - MAR 25, 2011
Taster. Rating #66. Dark copper with a short lasting white head. Aroma is piney to me. Flavor is very subdued, but very nice british style IPA. (1522)

Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 20, 2011
Draft at Four Peaks, as part of RBWG. Pours clear amber, thin off-white head, fine lacing. Nose is grapefruit, nettles, creme-caramel. Flavours of navel orange, lightly ’juicy’, light spice, pine. Solid mouthfeel. A nice IPA, right down the middle.
