Light brown into purple color with a firm head. Really complex aroma of oak, brett and dust. Some slight plum notes. Complex mouthfeel. Loads going on. Dry funky finish. Very very nice tom10101 (6315) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2017
Bottle (750 ml) at home, split 3-ways. Thanks to Damon for this one! Hazy brown with a frothy beige head, good retention, leaving heavy lacing. Aroma is much more on the herbal side with thyme and resinous notes than the rather shy Saison features but it feels fresh because of the herbs and both the fruits and oak presence. Taste is fresh and herbs forward with more fruitiness, some caramel and spicy malt backone, a bit of Saison character, mineral/earthy and brettanomyces. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Fruity and herbs forward finish. It’s fresh, not unbalanced as it’s often the case with herbs forward beers and rather easy drinking. I think it well get better with the brettanomyces develops a a bit more but it’s already interesting. neepsntatties (2084) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 11, 2017
Bottle shared by "AKFaust". Colour...medium brown and cloudy with a thick head. Palate...very frothy and plush with spice and herbaceous goodness. The overall feel is dry and there’s a bit of funk, then a citrusy thing hits the palate. The finish is as long as a Nordic winter. beerplace (2393) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 12, 2017
750ml bottle from Denman LS with George and Ilya. Pours a hazy brown with a slightly tan head. Aroma is barrel and plums. Same taste with some hoppy bitterness, frutiness. Quite light body, refreshing. It needs some time to be aged to become even better. fiery1 (1818) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 20, 2017
750ml bottle @ home. Pours a hazy nut brown colour with a decent white head. Nose presents brett sours notes with some oak. Flavour is upfront light fruit sourness(plum), some brett character, and hints of wood. Overall very enjoyable and didn’t take long to solo this bottle. I wish I had more to see how it would change/develop with time.

750 ml bottle. Pours a murky mahogany with lightish head. Aromas of old fruit, leathery brett, and wet malts. Flavors of old oak, cellared fruit (maybe the plums?), earthy yeast, and dry toasted malts. Possibly some herbal notes. A Saison can be anything - more like a solid Northern Traditional Ale. Nice. Amber and hazy. Thin head. Brett, oaky notes, light malt, touch of berryish fruits. Fruity - berry, plum - bretty accents, bit woody and sweet malts on the palate. Pretty good complexity and the brett is just starting to kick in. Kind of wish I’d kept the bottle til summer, actually. Ferris (17781) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 2, 2017
Draft - Soured caramel and Plum. Cloudy dark Amber with a decent white head. Dark light soured notes with a touch of herbal notes. OK but nothing great, maybe some age will improve it. mcberko (20267) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 25, 2016
750mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out earthy notes, with saison yeast, light red fruits, a touch of thyme and some red fruits. Flavour is along the same lines, bringing out earthy notes, saison yeast, and red fruits. The brett becomes more pronounced as you drink more. Lightly spicy and earthy on the finish. Nicely constructed. Very good.
