Draft pour at Four Winds. Gotta try their pale lager! First pick to be completely honest. Clean and clear pale golden pour. Zero aroma to this, which for the style, isn't necessarily a bad thing. A touch more body than your average. Straw grains, followed by a long cool, clean finish. A bit watery. Refreshing enough. Solid beer to add to my post marathon list.

(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy pale yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, grain, grass, and huskiness. Flavor of grain, lemon, earth, biscuit, and grass with a dry finish.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pours a pale straw colour with a small white head leaving a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus with grass and grains. Taste is a citrus and grassy hop bitterness with a light malty sweetness. Grainy mouth feel. Light bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, a decent lager with a nice balance of flavours.

I find this a hard style to rate in general, but this is the first beer I have had from their lineup that I haven’t loved. On tap. Straw gold pour, no head. Minimal hop presence at all, almost watery. Average at best

Lagerboy (2239) - British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 7, 2016
Bomber. Clear paler yellow, thin fine white foam mostly lasts. Grassy corny lager malt aroma. Taste is crisp and clean, bitter grassy citric hop, lightly sweet lager malt. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, well hopped for the style. Well constructed premium gourmet lager. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Hazy blonde. Thin head. Slightly doughy, biscuity aroma. A bit husky, sweet, and without much hop. Minimal bitterness. Meh.

CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 14, 2016
Pours a lasting thin white frothy head atop a hazy gold body. Nose of lemon and corn. Rather corn flavour and straw. Okay.

Johnsense (1804) - - MAY 10, 2016
Not entire sure why Four Winds put this one there. April fools gag? Trying to cut into Molsons share of the bland lager market? Clear gold pour, a bit of corn and grain in the aroma and taste, little hop presence. Dry finish. ok for what it is but unnecessary.

Hungover (109) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 8, 2016
Its kinda cool Four Winds decided they needed to make a uncomplicated lager...but not really sure why they did. Pretty simple unexciting lager, notes of corn on the palate and nose. Decent but really not much there.
