New World flavours infuse this traditional Czech-style Pilsner. Bittered with Bohemian Saaz and dry-hopped with New Zealand Motueka, for a lively citrus lift.

Mouthfeel is too thick and murky for a pilsner, and colour is too dark. Too much caramel malt? Come on, boys...

DeanF (2514) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 23, 2016
Minimal pilsner aroma as per the style. Yellow body a little head yup but I like pilsners with head yo. Dry grain flavour and dry finish, no hint of hops. Not impressed by this one quite Ann Frankly.

Bread toast and grassy citrus. Hazy golden thin head. Flavors of soft toasted bread soft citrus grass pepper. Crisp carbonation soft tanginess. Pleasant.

Appearance: pale lemon skin bronze with a finger’s width of foam Aroma: drowsy summer swimming pool nearing its afternoon end under by a lemon-lime haze; usual pilsner hops lathered in a concoction of citrus oils and secret medicinal salves. Green apple skins circle overhead at lower-case letter distance. Taste: Caramel and cinnamon bun icing ushers direct you to your seat in a grainy malt audience attending a performance of dry, tart hops keen to slowly bedazzle all those waiting with mouths salivating. The cork stage emits subtle tannins and grapes to create a shabby, and thus utterly glorious, aristocratic atmosphere. Palate: substantial, especially for a pilsner. There are no holes or wobbly floor boards. Overall: a genius response the genre. The malts remain loyal while the hops elevate themselves without neglecting their roots.

deep golden color. Clean, slightly roasted malts and grassy hope. Well balanced.

Lagerboy (2221) - British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 6, 2016
330 ml bottle. Clear bright orange yellow, lasting fine white foam. Citric floral sweet malty aroma. Crisp sweet pils malt taste, caramel, lots of fruity citrus, bitter floral spicy herbal hop, very flavourful. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, well hopped. Four Winds continues to impress. MLF (More Lagerboy Friendly)

Very nice for style. Great pils hops and good malt backbone. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Bottle.

Gerbeer (3896) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 1, 2016
330 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with moderate head. Aromas of et malts and bread. Flavors of corn and grain with bread crust and doughy malts. Thick for a Pilsner. Nice.

Ferris (16296) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 14, 2015
Draft - Light sweet citrus and grains. Clear gold with a white head. Lots of up front bitterness and grains. Way too much flavor, too bitter as well.

AgentAle (1807) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 3, 2015
Aroma is honey, caramel, and a fair amount of sulphur. Taste is sweet malts, clove, and light earthiness. Appearance is a foggy gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.
