Bottled at RBESG 2008. A light golden perry with no head. The aroma has notes of sweet pears. The flavor is sweet with notes of pear, leading to a lightly dry finish.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2014 750ml bottle (Põrgu, Tallinn) (5:3:6:3:12=2.9)

Slightly mealy pear aroma. Some strange gluey walpaper paste too. Pale, but quite dark for a pear cidre, clear, and definitely frisson. Taste fuller and sweater than the aroma, more apple and peary esters. Still a bit mealy in places. Crisp and refreshing in the mouth, with a nice sharp tartness that hacks through the fattiness of the ribs I just ate beatifully. Finish preserves the best parts of the taste, the tartness and sweet fruity esters. Perhaps not intrinsically great, but at 2.5% this is lush, and a perfect complement to fatty and spicy food.

Rerate: 330ml bottle (Hopner, Tallinn) (7:3:6:2:13=3.1)

Super sweet apple and pear aroma, pure fresh fruit, even baked apple, complete with some hint of sweet raisin. Crisp palate, sharp, a little thin and fizzy. Nice fruity taste, again plenty of apple, some baked apple, just a hint of pear. Shame about the petilance, too high for me even on a hot summery day.

Bottle @ the RBESG08 Grand Tasting.

Pours pale, almost transparent water. No head. Aroma has sweet pear with slight apple notes. Okay carbonation. Flavour has sour, tart pear, but no really in a good way... Not impressive.

Clear watery with tiny white head. Sweet with perry and phenolic notes. Mild tart finish.

33 cl bottle (4,8%) @ home, no BBE info

Leathery aroma with somewhat floury apples and some pear tones. Flavour has rather sweet and intensive pear, some floury apples and a glueish feeling. A bit too sweet and aggressive to be truly enjoyable.
