Draft. An amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, toffee, and nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, toffee, nuts, and bread, leading to a dry finish. spiffero (51) - Camelford, Cornwall, ENGLAND - FEB 1, 2018
A lush drink, really lush. It pours a misty, mid-ruby colour, with a good 1cm head. It smells of chocolaty malt. That lovely, almost dusty, chocolate smell invades your bugle as you quaff and adds a dimension to the experience. The taste has a strongly malty presence and a chocolaty depth. Alone among the FourPure beers I've tried, this has no big hop presence. But that's fine by me, because it means there is no nagging bitter taste, no dulling aftertaste. The only other beer I've had that has hazelnut in the name was the Rogue Hazelnut Nectar, but that just tasted of Nutella, whereas as this subdues the hazelnut side in favour of chocolate notes, in my opinion. The best chocolaty beer I've had was Hofbrau's Winterzwickl--one of my top beers--but this wasn't so far behind that masterpiece (pity this flavour of beer seems to be only seasonal). If you don't like this glory from one of the most magical modern brewers (in my view), I wonder who you are. Camons (13618) - Hasselager, DENMARK - JAN 27, 2018

Sampled at Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017 - day 1. Hazy caramel pour with a thin beige head. Notes of sweet sugar, caramel, malt and very light hops. Smooth. danrowland (36) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2017 Golden brown in the glass no head. Dank wood and bitter nuttiness on the nose. Maybe a bit too rooty and a bit strange with the added sweetness of amber malts. Taste of the hazelnut much better, bit of caramel and nice hop profile. Carbonation is nice, medium body and balanced aftertaste. Up the Christmas daddy’s. 77ships (11605) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2017
(Thank you!) Sampled draft @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. Amber, little head. Hazelnut is weird in the nose, plastic candy, almost vegetable but nicer in the taste hazelnut, caramel but also a bit artificial, low plant caramel. Fair but rather weird.
